Steen's syrup

Did anybody else grow up eating peanut butter and Steen's syrup samdwhiches?

No but that's probably the only thing I haven't eaten with Steens and now I'm doomed to try it. I need that like I need a hole in the head. On the other hand I have two big jars in the pantry of Steens and plenty of peanut butter.

I'll get back to you.

Yep, and used to go there on Sundays after Mass as a kid and whittle / eat the sugar cane stalks out in the yard. Those were the good ol' days!

no but Graton and steen's samich. i don't know if its a chackbay thing or just family, but damn the sweet/salt combo is off the hook.

no, but put it on biscuits, toast, pancakes, waffles, etc.

also a little on fried breakfast sausage sometimes.

it was the only kind my parents bought when i was a kid; i had to introduce Steen's to my wife....i don't know what they teach kids up in N. Louisiana....

With a HOT loaf of french bread.

I load up with jars to bring back to Tenn, every trip back home.

When I was a kid, my mother would make popcorn balls with it, after boiling it down until it made a ball when dropped in cool water. I think I'll make some soon, in memory of MOM.
