In-N-Out animal style. I think they put some crack in those things.

Sonic is a good answer, I never had In and Out.

I'm partial to Whataburger, double with lots of cheese and lots of mayo.

The best fast food burger ever was the Whopper back when Burger King actually flame broiled the burger when you ordered it. They ruined their product when they went to pre-cooked patties in an attempt to match McDonald's speed of service. Throwing the assembled burger into the microwave to heat it results in a piece of crap.

Ya'll refresh my memory about Mr. Cook's Bacon Burger. I remember it coming with 1/3 lb burger, pickles, bacon, and mustard. I remember the bacon being thicker than what you get nowadays at burger places. I don't remember any other toppings coming with it. Was that it?

I remember the Mr. Cook in my hometown being about the greasiest, dirtiest fast food restaurant, but they had 25 cent biscuits and gravy so that won out.

I remember at least 2 locations - one in Breaux Bridge, and one on the north side of Lafayette.

Arby's used to have the best burgers , and they were 1/3 lb. Then the health craze kicked in (this is back around late '80s), and their entire marketing campaign revolved around how much leaner and healthier roast beef was then burgers, so they stopped selling burgers.

We always walk by Company Burger because we park right up the street for the Pels games. The smell once you get close to that place is mesmerizing (my wife hates the smell, says it just smells like grease). Finally tried them last week - I went with the lamb burger and really loved it. Wife got the regular burger and hated it. And my kid (16) still lives on a diet of chicken tenders and pizza, so there's nothing there for him except fries.

Whataburger #1
Sonic #2
Wendy's #3

I haven't been to the BK Lounge, a DQ, or a Jack in the Box in years, and McD's definitely falls below those 3.
