common issue for franchise chains. We’ve done several franchise rebrandings and it’s directed by the corporate franchiser without much/any input from the operator. Part of the deal when you agree to buy a franchise.

Anyone remember the mellow mushroom record store on Broadway next to the Boot in NOLA? I always wondered if they closed due to copyright issues

We eat often at the MM in Foley. Good quality food with a great beer selection. We don’t mind paying a bit more as it keeps some people away.

Drinking shroom tea pitchers while underage on a Wednesday night was basically my early college years

I'm almost certain they closed all corporate locations a couple years ago. Only ones left are the franchises.

You guys inspired me. Drinking a shroom tea and ordering a Calzone now. Although this isn’t the same shroom tea that was dropping panties on open mic night with DRock back in the day.

I see they were founded in Atlanta in 1974. To me it seems like they did not really begin to expand until the mid to late 2000’s.

I think it was simply called The Mushroom. It's still there.

The Covington location was pretty much our go-to for pizza until it closed.

Ate at one in Pensacola during Hurricane Ida evac and it was great eats and a good respite from the stress of it all.

Seems like every time we start liking a place it closes.

Far, far from it. Certainly not your typical “chain” pizza.

I live down the street from the original one in Atlanta, and it’s great.

I used to pop in there looking for CDs in the late 80s, early 90s. The pizza place, Dino's, below it and tucked into the side of the Boot was pretty good.

The one in Metairie started out good, but I think they changed the manger and it went downhill fast.
