Make a stack and cut the crust with an electric knife. ( you probably knew that)

Keep it simple and I agree on the chicken salad.

Since it is for adults only I would go in the direction you are thinking. I would leave the crust on rustic bread as well.

Make basil mayo and use it on bread with slice tomatoes and even a little fresh mozz if you want, but I think just the tomato and basil mayo would be good.

Yeah she does and now I have the recipe. And frankly forgot so I will make a batch.

My mother says when she goes to heaven they are going to have her make sandwiches.

I just use grated sharp cheddar (not the shite in the bags) blue plate mayo, a jar of diced pimentos, salt and pepper, always taste better the next day and is best served on fresh bunny bread with an ice cold glass of milk
