Burger chain

Burger meat was thin and just short of burned. Very crispy on outside. Ok for a thick burger with soft interior, but not my favorite for thin patty.

Not my type of burger. Maybe Midwestern people like it that way.

The fries were good. They were small, but still had that crsipy outside with a bit of soft interior

I may try again, but I will have to disagree with the FDBers that recommended this spot.

Ive only been once and was seriously underwhelmed for the same reasons as you. I also remember it being extremely overpriced.

I would agree it’s a different type of burger like Steak and Shake. Thin and cooked all the way through and crispy on the ends. I love them but you nailed it, was living in the Midwest when I was eating them.

There seems to be all these burger places with thin patties coming around for some reason. I don't get it either. To each their own though.

You go there for the custard

Frozen Custard power rankings:

1. Andy's
2. Culver's
3. Freddy's

Not saying Freddy's is bad by any means, I just like Andy's and Culver's more

First time eating a steak burger? That's pretty much the text book description of a good steak burger.

ETA: Freddy's is one of the few things I would break my keto diet for

I'm not a big fan of Freddy's. It may just be the one that is near me that I can go to, but everything there was absurdly salty I could barely taste anything else. I get that it is a hamburger and fries, but all I could taste was salt.

They will put it on a bed of lettuce and it's pretty damned good.

Went to Freddie today for the first time and will return. Beef was crisyb and flavorful and fries were good.

Freddy's burgers aren't my cup of tea, either.

Their concretes, though, now that's a different story.

Gotta get a double to ensure optimal meat-to-bread ratio. Then finish your kid’s double to ensure fullness. Flavor shouldn’t be an issue.

Love Freddy's.

Their shakes and concretes are fantastic (custard makes the difference).
