They're snobs.

I'm extremely furious over a commercial I thought was great

Yeah, OK. For example Boston Brewing company or the makers of that "craft" beer Sam Adams sold 2.1 MILLION barrels of beer in 2012. Guess those three guys with beards and flannel shirts were mighty busy in that small old brick building
Those guys probably were busy coming up with all the different styles Boston Beer Company puts out aside from Boston Lager.

The whole "my beer factory is smaller than your beer factory" is a result of marketing genius.
Not going to disagree there. I choose Boston Lager over Bud because I think it tastes better. I also rarely have to make this choice outside of small airports because local craft options have blown up.

You would probably prefer a home cooked pot of red beans to, say, the boxed red beans produced by Zatarans, or a portion made for 1000 people. Not because you want people to think you are cool for eating "micro-beans" but because the variables are easier to control, producing a higher quality product.
Agreed, the issue is the 50 most popular "craft" beers are no more homemade than Budweiser. Once you past homemade is there much difference between cooking your beans for 2000 folks vs 5000? because that is what we are talking about here. I have no issue with any beer and will drink a homebrew as quick as a cold bud but this whole micro fad is getting to be a bit much esp. when the micros are truly macro.

Someone told me you were talking smack about the Music Board exiles? What's your beef?
Read the post yourself. It's in last night's thread, maybe around page 5. Hardly constitutes talking smack, but you do you.

beers or breweries?
and I don't think anyone truly cares about the size, but rather the actual taste and quality of the product
if Budweiser put out a sour on the level of Consecration or a DIPA like Heady Topper, I'd fricking celebrate and drink the shite out of both

Were you the poster who said that if you attended a crawfish boil and they only had BMC in the ice chests, you just wouldn't drink?
That was me

I was about to post red bean analogy overkill, but this was much more succinct.

You would be amazed at the people ordering a beer because it is "craft" it is the new fad

Exactly!
But it works both ways.

Don't forget AB does own Goose Island, and therefore owns Bourbon County, and I drink the shite out of that.

I thought the commercial was great.. Seems like they were just having a little fun..

sure
there are people that will order a craft beer to be different or cool
so? as long as they are not obnoxious about it, nobody should care
obnoxious people generally suck, whether that is some pretzel necklace wearing beer nerd or some redneck pounding his chest about how he doesn't drink "queer beer"
they both suck equally

What?
I've never been in a bar and overheard someone ask about a beers market cap.

Does this guy really bother anyone?
In my experience pretzel necklace guy is typically just an overweight drunk guy who is looking to have a good time drinking beer.
Sure they're goof balls, but they aren't near as obnoxious as some other segments of the craft beer community.

He probably would bother me, depending on his attitude. That type has a high probability of being a pretentious douche from my experience. The chest pounding redneck calling queer beer queer beer wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
