It’s already smoked, no need to smoke it again. You need to heat it up with a baste/glaze. Place it in a foil pan and cover with foil. Pour your glaze over it. Every 30 minutes or so, baste it. Cook it until it’s hot, an hour or two. You can go longer and keep basting, won’t hurt as long as you keep it covered.

Agree with above post, ... but OP said in laws were coming so he is probably looking to do something to keep him busy.... outside, so put it flat side down in your smoker with your choice of wood, I would put a pan of water in with it , low heat for an hour that put in foil pan wrapped tight for a while until it gets warm all the way through , then remove foil and glaze

You can't go wrong following these tips, and the apricot glaze is great:

I thoroughly enjoy a double smoked ham. Usually I'll buy a hickory smoked one and reheat it on the smoker/kettle at 250F with Cherry, I like that combination. Once it reaches 120ish internal, start basting with a homemade glaze (throw out the premade packet that comes with it) every 30 mins or so until it comes up to 150-160.

This is a good YouTube video to watch: Easy Smoked Ham

There are a few others that have similar methods/different glazes. Find one that sounds good to you and follow that.

I inject with one part honey one part pineapple juice and a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Yes, it will run out everywhere because it's sliced. Double smoke to 120F for a couple hours at low heat. Baste with the pan juices, then coat with sugar mixture.

Sugar glaze mixture:

1 cup sugar - 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

Pack this around the warm ham.
Caramelize sugars with torch.

There are lots of good glaze recipes out there. This is the one I do most often.

That sounds good, thanks. A lot of the recipes I’ve seen online call for pineapple juice or jelly and pineapple is a flavor I strongly dislike.

Leave it out. Try orange juice.

I didn’t even notice your injection recipe lol. Noted on the OJ.

Your glaze sounds perfect.

Thanks again.
