Saw a construction site in the Carencro area on 49 that had their signs around the protective fencing.

I guess Ville Platte got too ratchet.

Maybe they leased and now want to own?

Possibly. They’ve been at it since mid-90s in VP.

Maybe it's just a better location for shipping/transportation purposes being on I-49 just north of Lafayette. Ville Platte is kind of out of the way.

SYM outgrew their original location and moving for logistics. That new location makes perfect sense. Additionally they will be blending their own seasonings and not relying on Targil.

Are they expanding their workforce?

SYM will need employees to fill positions that are currently performed by Targil’s laborers. Blenders, packagers, supervisors, forklift operators, truck drivers, etc … new location will allow them to grow the business. Won’t be surprised if they have a walk-in retail store offering their seasonings to the public.

Good for them. I used to know/work with on occasion the Walker brothers when they were at Chimes back in the day. They’re good people.
