Shreveport restaurant recommendation

I'm coming into Shreveport tomorrow. Will be taking my parents out for their 64th wedding anniversary. My dad has pretty severe alzheimers disease, so no place too lively. It would just cause him confusion. He also is frail, so no place he has to walk a long ways to get to (for example: Saltgrass on the Boardwalk). Want it to be nice, though, but not too nice because they aren't the type to dress up for a dinner, so no place where a men's jacket should be worn. Not too expensive, either. Something moderate because my two brothers and their wives will attend and they are both cheap.
Just have lost touch with everything over there. Any recommendations?

I've been to Byronz and enjoyed my meal there. Seems to be in line with what you're looking for.

Yes, we used to go to Byronz all the time, but we stopped going as frequently due to feeling that the quality has dropped off a bit.
It's still good though and I think would fit your situation well.
Franks might be another option, although it will be livelier than Bryonz.

Went to Monjuni's on Louisiana last visit. Seems like they've substituted quantity for quality.
Giuseppe's had closed. Did it reopen?

If it's anything like monjunis in Monroe or Ruston (neither of which are still around go figure) skip it. Sauce is waaay too sweet.

It's now Giuseppe's pastacaffe and the food is great. Much smaller place than before. But excellent.

Giuseppe's shut down, and Wine Country Bistro took over the space. There is now a little Giuseppe's Pastacaffe, which is good, but it is in a small space over by Cuban Liquor.
Wine Country is nice, and it's easy to drop old folks off at the door, but prices are up there. Tight relatives may not be happy.
Zocolo is a nice building, with close parking and easy access for older folks. It used to suck, but the Wine Country folks took it over and improved it. Could be a decent choice in the less expensive range, similar to Byronz (which is a good choice for what you are looking for).
Chianti is a maybe little more expensive, and some folks will wear a coat, but it's the kind of Italian place older folks will probably like. They often have a piano player or other quiet music. I'd make a reservation if that is a pick. It can fill up on random nights.

L'Italiano in Bossier might work although I would check to make sure they're open because of the road construction going on down there.
