Was looking at the menu for a new soul food restaurant in Shreveport. Fountain drinks and iced tea are $3.95, with free refills. Lemonade is also $3.95, but $1.95 for a refill.

The restaurants are pricing me out on drinks. Gonna just start getting water except at the little places that are struggling, where I sometimes buy one as an act of charity.

The only Shipleys in New Orleans sucks.

Its amazing how much worse the donuts are here compared to the ones in Houston.

I rarely ever get a regular drink at a restaurant. They can almost charge whatever they want as most have no idea what a drink costs.

Cost of syrup, CO2, cups, lids, straws all up exponentially the last two years

value dining as we know it is dead and is never coming back. 2024 is going to be a rough year for restaurants and we will see a lot more shutting their doors as consumers watch their pocketbooks

The only time that I ever drink chocolate milk is whenever I eat donuts.

I don't drink coffee, so I might buy a soda... except I'd never fricking call it a "soda," because I am not from New York.

A friend of mine works for some pop company here in Atlanta, can't recall the name, but from what I can tell... it costs less than 25 cents for a cup of co-cola at the fountain. That's a pretty good margin and if I did buy one, I'd probably get 4 refills to make sure I got my money's worth.

Sorry, dude, but I am married and straight. Good luck out there, though.
