Zaxby's was never in BR. Bailey's was.

I thought it was common knowledge Cane's ripped off Guthrie's.

Zaxby's is pretty solid though.

Todd never pretended it was an original concept. But he took it to another level. And I wasn't directing my comment to you. I just can't understand the outrage about price increases. What doesn't cost more now than 5 or 10 years ago? Canes gets so much hate here and I think it's from fat chicken finger addicts that can't shake the habit. Otherwise they just wouldn't eat there and certainly wouldn't bitch about it.

FTR, I love a 3 finger combo every couple/few months.

Increases in price don't bother me. What bothers me is when portion size/food quality slips in addition to an increase in price.

You have an axe to grind. shite, you swear there was a Zaxby's in BR that you miss...there wasn't. Ever.

Sometimes they get smaller tenders. It happens in the food business. And I find the quality to be the same. They haven't changed anything.

I swear there was a Zaxby's in BR? No, I was mistaken and admitted to it. It was Bailey's I was thinking of.

Z's looks to be coming to BR and after my meal in Tallahassee, I hope it does well. Canes needs some competition.

Baily's closed in 1999, before you came to BR. Try again. But hey, I'm glad you enjoyed Zaxby's.

Then the building was there and was vacant but the sign remained up. I never ate there anyway, not did I claim to.

It's a free country and if you're happy spending your money on an inferior product than more power to you.

Thank you. But I think Cane's is the superior product. Good talk.

I love how Cane's is the only restaurant ever accused of doing that on here. I'd be willing to bet that across the country, almost every chain restaurant, and especially fast food places, has done this over the last several years. Have you noticed that "value meals" are over $8 now, yet the burger patties have continued to shrink?

Zaxby's in BR

False.

I never get the ridicule Cane's gets on here, if you want a fast food chicken finger, they're plenty good for me.

I think it's more noticeable because you see the chicken fingers on your plate and not the meat patty in between the bread. I've also noticed food quality going up in some fast food joints (such as Wendys). At Canes, well, prices go up, the fingers get smaller, and life goes on.

We've already established Zaxby's has never been in BR, though it is coming. And I agree, Popeyes makes good chicken fingers, so a good meal can be had in BR

I think both restaurants are pretty much equal food wise. The chicken fingers are literally exactly the same.

I think Zaxbys gives you more bang for your buck plus they have buffalo sauce which is why it gets my vote.

This thread made hungry for Canes. $7.94 for a box combo is fine by me.

think he was referring to the fries and the breading on the fingers.

Edit: maybe I am. I just seem to remember a Zaxby's in BR in a weird looking building on Perkins or Bluebonnet or something. Dunno. Hope they do plan on opening one in BR. Then people can get a decent chicken finger meal

It wasn't a Zaxby's. It was Bailey's. There was one on Lee and one by campus if I remember correctly. Had a green and white sign.

UGA paper put out an article comparing Canes to Zaxbys when I was in school that I agreed with and have used since when comparing the two.

Chicken: Zaxby's
Fries: Cane's
Toast: Cane's
Sauce: Cane's

Dude every friggin' fast food joint on the planet has shrunk their stuff and charge more for it over the last 10 years. Look at any supermarket item, chips, cereal, nuts, etc are all charging more and giving less.

Do you have this big a hard-on for General Mills when your box of Lucky Charms is smaller?

You have a jealous hatred for Canes cause they got their idea from someone else. You think Wendy's invented the friggin' hamburger and french fries?

I kind of take solice in the fact that every time I drive by Canes it's friggin' packed cause I know it pisses you goofballs off.
