Any word on when it will open? Drove by the other day and looks pretty close to being done- on the exterior at least.

I drove by Thursday night. Everything was lit up and there were a handful of people in there. It's gotta be opening very soon.

Nice....my last couple of visits to Atomic were disappointing (out of key burger components, so I couldn’t get what I wanted), so I’m looking forward to another option. Abita root beer on tap!

So will this place supplant Atomic Burger?

RIP Lagers. Now we’ll have to deal with a shitty tap list.

Company Burger is better than Shake Shack.

Company burger is always soggy. Shake Shack is miles ahead of it.

This maybe true, but neither location is very convenient for my Metairie errand runs.

The fries at shake shack are not that good. The burger is dry.

I’ve had Shake Shack from many different locations, and it’s never been dry.

Given the choice I’d go for Company Burger, but that’s mostly due to location. If the locations were swapped, I’d choose Shake Shack.

ETA: I agree with you about the fries though.

I've had SS twice. The one off Times Square wasn't great. The one by the Flat Iron was.

The fries are very similar to standard crinkle cut out of a bag.

Company has better fries (I get tattor tots but like the fries), but I’ve honestly never had a dry one.

I hate chains with a passion, but Shake Shack is legit a great burger. Only national chain worth going to.

I work down the street (and typically avoid burgers for lunch) but I’ve always wanted to try Shake Shack so I’ll check it out when it opens.

SS tried the homemade fry at one point and their fries sales dipped

They use the best quality frozen fry you can get. There’s something to be said about the consistency of the frozen fry, especially in the name of consistency when you have 100s of stores. You can look at atomic and the inconsistency fresh cut potatoes bring

Yeah, not a fan.

I think I’ve eaten at 4 of them (77th and Columbus (NY), DuPont Circle (DC), Mall of America (Minneapolis), and Montrose (Houston)) and the burger has been good every time. It’s better than In-N-Out, IMO.
