two plus hour wait for bbq
beer at German Coast is undrinkable

we bailed to R&Os
it was a nice event set up but when the food is unattainable and the drink is undrinkable there’s not really any reason to attend
We will try Gonzo’s again some other time

Not no, but HELL NO. I know there's not many places to eat in the Luling area, but I'm not waiting any more than 1/2 hour at most, and even that is more time than I want to wait just to be seated.

Can you explain what made the beer undrinkable? Just curious.

we tried two different beers, both so bad we sink poured them both. Had to resort to a modelo from the crawfish place next door which, insipid as it is, was still better than German coast’s craft beer
I’ll pretty much drink anything and maybe they have other beers that are good but what we got was not

Yup. He’s a nice dude and the food is great but there’s no reason to run things like they do. It’s slow on a regular Friday…yesterday must have been even worse.

The beef rib, pork ribs, and brisket are all great. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like from there.
Then again, I've loved everything from Gonzos too..
