Times have changed too. The brick and mortar and that type of restaurant is going to go by the wayside in the next few years. Most restaurants in Austin, Nashville and other cities are smaller and way different concept than something that was so successful in the 80’s and 90’s.

Steve Bonfanti was the money and the business control behind Sammys.
When he died so went the business

I used to go a lot around 2012 and it was good for the price

It's always been sports bar type of food but was really good for what it was. They used to employ almost nothing other than OT 7's+ from LSU too.

You tried to make this point in the other thread and it made just as little sense. Food trucks rise in popularity doesn’t mean the end for brick and mortar restaurants

Hold up, someone is actually arguing that?! LOL

Must be some 20-something year old, know it all, everything about their life only revolves around online business/shopping, etc. SJW

Prarieville is closed per the report but not sure about highland location. It can’t be far behind

Sammy's was amazing. Great food, drinks. Once they expanded someone got greedy and now they're done
So sad.??

Yea, the restaurant business model that is failing is the chain restaurants like Applebee’s and Chili’s.

Smaller, more singular restaurants are still going to do fine.

I'll admit to shopping online way more than in stores now but I don't feel the same about restaurants. We like going out to eat.

I don't find that the Waitr experience is a comparable replacement for me going to a restaurant like online shopping is for buying a shirt.

Didn’t Sammys sell to an investment group a few years ago? It hasn’t been owned by the original owner(s) for a while.

They sold probably six months ago. And the Sammy guy still runs it

Restaurants aren’t going anywhere. I love a good restaurant, but the types and styles of restaurants are changing.
