Ahh...so you believed what the guy unprofessionally bashing customers and calling them names on Yelp said. Gotcha.
I didnt know being an a-hole and liar went hand in hand.
Are you calling him a liar?
Posted on 3/18/15 at 4:42 pm to Gris Gris
Instead of another sammich, he might give you a couple for Jimmy John's or Subway.
Posted on 3/18/15 at 4:43 pm to GynoSandberg
I'm not calling him anything other than a bad business owner.
He made the statement about me not wanting to be contacted. I'm telling you that I can be contacted anytime through Yelp whether it's in response to a current review, as a private message, or as a friend request.
I have no idea why he said what he said. I don't know if he's lying, or if he just wasn't aware that could be done.

Ok, so what do we do now? String him up?
No we make fun of him for being a dumb busines owner.

don't get the outrage.
of course o'brah sees nothing wrong with being an a-hole. . Owner is in the wrong. He deserves every bit of this criticism.

And you're full of shite if you say that every time you've eaten something in a restaurant that you thought wasn't very good, or that you felt was overpriced for what you got, you sought out a manager to tell him so.
I never made the argument that I do or should do that.
Since I don't read Yelp reviews, I rarely write negative reviews and have only a few reviews overall.
I've dealt with this guy before, and have spoken frankly about Sammich. I've mentioned other styles of bread, removal of chicken livers

I understand.
I just watched a cooking demo this guy did on Fox, he seems pleasant enough. Possibly a little old school. Maybe he doesn't understand the Internet age fully.
Sounds like he's on a Hogs team with Tory McPhail and a few other chefs

Sad that he couldn't care less that the underside of his tables destroys clothes.
You're probably the only person that's ever complained about this. I'm sure the guy expects good and bad reviews about various aspects of his business, but not complaints about the bottoms of his tables. I'm sure he's got more pressing concerns than to worry about a run in your pantyhose.

The only criticism he deserves is from his partners (if he has any) or from those he responded to in poor form.
If you get offended by words on Yelp, then the terrorist have already won. You're right, I don't have a problem with a business owner being an arsehole as long as it doesn't affect my relationship with the business.

I might be the only person who has complained, but I'm sure I'm not the only person who has experienced it.
And unless you're a woman, you have zero idea of the frustration of it.
P.S. Let's see you not complain if the paint he used on his chairs rubbed off on, and ruined your slacks.

I don't think anyone here is offended except niki (rightfully so), I just think they're calling him out on his stupidity and the fact that he lost potential customers.
I can guarantee you that I will never spend a dime there because of this.

Hey, now you've taken it out of "girl problems" and gone to meddlin'

not sure if it has been covered, not reading this bullshite, but critiquing food as a profession has to be the biggest joke ever.
Why would anyone that is going to write a huge review of a place try and stay anonymous? Use your real name, a way to get in contact with you, quit hiding behind anonymity. Online critiques give one side of the story and when a business owner responds in any fashion he is seen as belittling or out of line. Honestly I think this is one of the things the internet in generL has fricked up on.

Point is, if you're responding to EVERY negative review, it's never going to be just "helpful." At some point you're going to look like sort of an obsessive compulsive creeper. At least, that's just how I see it.
Look at this as a customer coming back into yiur store and complaining. Except they are posting their complaint on the wall where it can never come down. Every single customer gets to read his side of the story with no context. Maybe the reviewer has never been to other top restaurants and feels the need to write a long review as some sort of authority.
Now, I come in to town and read some interaction and am turned off.
Before, you told the customer to get the frick out of your store because he is a pretentious cock and everyone went on with their life. Now someone leaves a review because she wasn't treated like the queen of England on her only trip and it cast a negative light for everyone who googles the place.

Eh.
It is pretty easy to tell whose complaints are worth a crap and who is just too needy.
Hell, I think that about some of my very own FDB and IRL FBD friends. I can tell who is difficult and has too high of expectations. I tend to be able to tell on Yelp as well.
I've laughed at plenty of Yelp reviews.
But I've also seen some that were a big help because they were legit gripes.

The context is in the multiple reviews, though, especially if they are for the most part positive.

I promise you I could write a bullshite review on yelp and fool 95% of people.

But why would you? I find it hard to believe these are bogus reviews written by competitors considering I've seen the same said by posters here.

There's always the 1%'ers who are going to do that. You know sorta like how you throw piss balloons at opposing fans at LSU games.
