Wasn't crazy about Sammich but I do want to try the chicken livers.
Smokehouse has some very good food. Short of the owner trying to fist fight me I'll continue to eat there.

Truly, you can't be this dumb can you? This board has long been a forum where small businesses by far win out over national chain restaurants in mentions, reviews, and recommendations. But nice job trying to treat Nola residents as insignificant internet trolls. Your petulance is apparent.

The OP openly admitted to not addressing the issue in person after learning about The Sammich's owner's transgressions on Yelp, instead choosing to leave a partially negative review on Yelp which obviously was going to draw out the owner to respond (she didnt know he would!), then starts a thread bringing attention to how much of an "a-hole" the owner is on a public message board. Owner attempts to contact OP directly, he says he couldnt (attempts to post a screenshot), she says he's lying and he can.
Who deliberately sought a confrontation? OP or owner?
Not trying to defend either one of these guys' tactfulness on the internet, but i would be lying if I said it bothered me enough not to patronize their establishments. The sooner they learn not to say anything, the better off they will be.

All it would take is for someone who is offended enough to take these screenshots of the insulting comments to WWL or Nola.com or something like that for it to blow up. The older folks who follow those sites love to comment and share stuff like this.
Maybe when it came down to it, it wouldn't really affect business. But who wants to take that chance? There's a reason employees of restaurants have been fired over responding to Yelp comments.. or for posting shitty tips .. etc. I imagine a good business owner wouldn't want to take the chance on the consequences that could come from bitching to their customers online.

This site has the tendency to be on the attack, especially if the person is known. His name was brought up in this thread long before the FB post or him showing up.
