You contuine to sound like a knucklehead everytime you post this. You have said you don't like BBQ and you have never stepped foot in the restaurant. If you did you would know they give the the option of fatty brisket, lean brisket, or combo of both. Try laying off commenting on places you've never been. You are worse than the professional yelpers when you do.

So I didn't eat NOLA Smokehouse brisket when they were a pop-up @ Ave Pub? Funny, I recall it quite well.

LINK

Also, why is Nola Smokehouse calling out the board on their FB ?

Yikes. Link?

Tigerdroppings is brutally honest actually. If given a choice of picking one place to eat in a random city, I would trust this board way more than yelp, URban spoon, Google reviews, trip advisor, facebook, open table etc.

Hell, yesterday, I got some good advice in about 30 minutes from 10 different people asking about a city 1,500 miles away from NOLA and BR.

So you ate a pop up with a limit menu of items cooked off site that didn't come through an everyday supply chain and now you are all knowing about the quality of this guys restaurant. Like I said yku get the option of fatty or lean when you are at the counter.

You are the same dude that complained your pork belly sandwich had too much fat on it right ?

So, Wise T, did you post that review of Sammich on Yelp?

I didn't know you lived in Thousand Island Park, NY.

I have a feeling Heady is now trolling yelp. He must really like me to name his yelp handle after my TD screen name.

Where did I claim to be "all knowing?" I'd gladly check out Nola Smokehouse again, and could be excellent - - doesn't make my original experience a lie does it?

Correct. I'm sure some people like undercooked meat with loads of fat still on it, it's just not my bag.

+1
I was trying to find a restaurant in Dallas for a gift cert for my daughter. I went to the review places for some points of reference, but chose based upon the recommendations here.

I find the people here to be objective and honest about reviews and the disagreements are healthy. Usually.

Heck, R2R has been in Atlanta about a month and I would listen to him, Hilt, etc. before Yelp, TA, US etc.

You know you have made that comment here many times. IMO it's not cool to be bashing a small local mom and pop operation that sources local products because you had a piece of fatty brisket from their pop up once. You have said many times you don't like BBQ and I know you are not an expert in that area. Now for his comments on social media........... Bash away

Also if you don't like fatty sandwiches I would suggest not ordering pork belly.

The internet is real. Really just baffled these owners insist on turning off potential customers from their business.

Yeah, "bashing." That's not hyperbole at all.

Which is why I would try the cat's cue again. That was 3 years ago I had the bad brisket, I'd give it another go lad.

I would suggest you pay a visit to some places that know how to properly handle pork belly. Erin Rose obviously isn't one of em, but there are plenty of restaurants that know how to cook a PB properly where there's the right amount of fat and a balanced texture.
