My wife works at Ochsner and she tried a salad today made by "Sally", what the company calls a robot. To me, it looks more like a vending machine. The machine will operate 24 hours a day, for people keeping odd hours there.

here's a video: Vimeo

Her salad had 6 toppings for $8.

I have nothing logical or intelligent to say about this to criticize it. All I can say is,"I just don't know about that."

My thoughts exactly: how often is the machine going to be sanitized? Seems like plenty of nooks and crannies to hold onto EColi to me. We all know that uncooked food is the real culprit in most food poisoning outbreaks. You'd think a hospital setting would be concerned about sanitary conditions.

Ain't nobody at O gonna take that thing apart every day and scrub it.

I wouldn't be confident on the cleaning, though this article says it has to be cleaned twice a day.

so I person likely making minimum age will have to "clean" it twice a day and sign a sheet I'm guessing. Like those sheets signed twice a day in nasty gas station bathrooms...

You prefer eating from dishes and utensils cleaned by someone making under minimum wage and on the run from ICE?

You shouldnt eat in a single restaurant if this is your thought process

The people cleaning your dishes are minimum wage felons in just about every kitchen in America
