Yea, I would think if anything it makes them suspect because they're trying to get money out of me upfront.

I didn't know it attracted women like that and let's just say I was WWAAAAYYYYYYYY underdressed.

I felt like an ugly troll compared to the full out L.A. nightclub getups these women had on.
this is excellent to know. Im going out for dinner here tonight.

I went tonight around 5:00 and I loved everything I ordered. I had 3 tacos, side of polenta, and a mojito. I can't wait to go back.

I've been a couple of times. No the food is not off the charts best ever but still pretty good. Stick with the tacos.

Great atmosphere and laid back. Very good variety of drinks and 2 dollar beers during happy hour. Open air bar and a temporary escape to the islands.

I'm a fan!

Can't speak for the BR location and I don't understand waiting for any length of time- but I really like the tacos and the fact that I can choose from about 10 different types.

Agreed. Rum House is not very good.

The polenta was really salty when I went. Definitely wouldn't order it again. The plantains were good.

Went on May 5th, got 3 three great tacos, drank a few painkillers, and hung out with Pierre Thomas. I can't complain about anything except the one stall bathroom.

The tacos there are very hit-and-miss... some I really liked, some were really bad. The best tacos I had there were the ceviche ones, which come with a different style of tortilla. The house salad was also good, but didn't include the goat cheese mentioned in the description.

Well, as much as I hate to do it, I have to chime in.

Haven't been to the RH in B.R., and I doubt I ever will.

I used to go to the one on Magazine frequently. Not so much anymore. I never had much of a problem with it being too crowded, primarily because of the off times that I would be there. On one or two occasions when it was crowded, one of the managers slipped my wife and I in pretty quickly.

When they first got going, I thought the food was a nice twist on quasi Latin/Caribbean, casual food. Prices weren't too bad, and I liked the bartenders. They had/have a couple of tacos that I think are tasty. I never really was much interested in their full out entrees. I'd usually get a couple of tacos and a side or two.

Now, for all I know, the food and service may have gone down in the last year, year and a half. I never touted it as a "great restaurant", but I thought it was . . . as they say . . . "fine for what it is".

The crowds are ridiculous sometimes. Wise needs to figure out that you can actually cross to the other side of Magazine before you get to the RH.

If I cross the street I end up in that nasty dive bar with the drunks. Rum House drives me to drink.

My girlfriend ate lunch at the Magazine Street Rum House today and had a roach ON THE PLATE.

That's it for me.
