All the ones I saw (Denham) were frozen together in blocks.

You only get about 4lbs of meat out of a 10lb bag of smoked leg quarters.

Oh yeah no doubt it's still a great deal. I normally buy a couple packs when they go on sale like this. I actually remember them being 19 cents a pound. We use them for crab bait too.

Yeah, there are 7 - 9 nice large leg quarters in each bag and yes, it's frozen together but you can cook them all like grilled and what you don't use Foodsaver for using in something else or make individual meals. Heck, give some away(instead of throwing it away)but it's a price that's hard to beat. Yeah, some may have feathers, you can pull them or just cut that skin off.
I think they were and are perfect for making a stock and deboning the meat.

I grilled a pack of these up this past saturday and then proceeded to spend all Saturday night with abdominal pain and vomiting. Let me know if anyone had this happen. I'm hesitant to use the other 2 packs I have in the freezer.

What else did you eat besides that? Did they not smell funny if that was the cause?

That is a good deal but they go on sale like that quite often even at other stores. I've seen .29 lb a lot.

When did a ten pound bag at 47 cents per pound become $2.90? I'm newer to Louisiana math.

Grilled some up Sunday. No issues. Maybe you didn't cook it all the way, or maybe you have a stomach bug?
