Hopefully they will bring a decent bakery. I like Alexanders but their bakery needs some major help. I want good rustic bread and fresh french bread and baguettes- like at WF. Would settle for just 1/3 of WF bakery options.

Forget Albertson's bakery. Winn Dixie is actually passable but the rest of the store is depressing. Calandro's is marginal.

I like the prepared foods at Rouse's in Lafayette better than the hot food bar at Whole Foods in Baton Rouge. I find a maximum of a third of the hot bar items edible at WF.
Also, the quality of the produce I've found to be very good, especially the shrooms.
If nothing more, Rouse's will provide options and competition for other places and I'm looking forward to that.
