Congrats to Jones for the prediction (pg. 2) I guess there weren't high enough margins on those 3-bite sandwiches...

I went to their short-lived Bluebonnet location for lunch one time. They were so overwhelmed & confused by handling Waitr orders that the actual customers inside the store seemed to almost be an inconvenience for them. I was 1 & done. A shame though cause it was convenience for lunch

To be fair, they haven't actually closed.

Yet.

Wonder how Walk Ons Towne Center does? Has seemed empty the few times I have been around it in the last couple months.

That place does fine. They aren't going anywhere.

Those of you calling Your Mom's and Fuzzy's are insane. Those places are packed with students regularly.

My picks are:

Bullfin
Breck's Bistro
Canefield (no way they last through the end of the semester)
VooDoo on Nicholson (I have absolutely no idea what they're doing to stay open)
Quarter's (I've never seen anyone there)
One of either Mooyah or Halal Guys on Lee, they can't both survive
Bleachers on East Chimes is toast
Insomnia Cookies seems to have died since the initial buzz
Whatever went into the old Louie's
Don Jose
Los Reyes (the place is great but there's never anyone there)
Bull Chicks
DeAngelo's on Bluebonnet is working magic to stay open

I think the building owner is the one that owns Bleachers. Not having a lease/landlord will probably be enough to keep it open a couple a years. Especially since that's one of the major issues in that area with building owners trying to ramp up lease costs.

It's a boiled seafood place, Krab Queenz. It is probably the only kind of business that can survive there.

Halal is my longshot. I think it's a front to launder money though

I hope it stays open though. I like it

Wings of Glory on airline near Barringer Foreman. Love their wings, but there is NEVER more than 1-2 people in there when I stop in. Hope I am wrong as this is my go-to wing place.

Walk Ons actually sold this location to a private investor. No longer a corporate owned store.
