After dropping baby arse off at her new day care, I headed into work. When I got over the Belle Chasse bridge, I heard a hunger growl from my stomach that sounded like a tug boat in the canal.

I saw Racetrac on the horizon, so I pulled in. I went right to the weenie rollers. They had two options all beef or jalepeno/cheddar sasuage. I opted for the sausage, since it had about 100 less calories than its beef counterpart. My doctor would be happy with my decision.

I then perused over the condiment offerings. I went with the slaw and banana peppers. I cannot believe chili wasn't available at 7:30 this morning!!! The communists are winning.

When I returned to my car, I popped open the plastic freshness container and dove in. The creamy slaw was the perfect counter to the slight heat from the meat. The hints of cheddar were very subtle and need work. Would devour again. 6.4/10

Dude, I had the same breakfast except the Citgo I hit didn’t offer slaw and peppers. But they had a fine jalapeño cheddar dog. I also knocked out a meat pie. I currently thinking I shouldn’t have done both. Decisions made whilst hungover AF have consequences.

Looks like the same sausage that they use in kolaches at all of the donut places.

Friend,

Your hands fit that wiener as though it was custom made for you and you alone. I hate hot dogs, but have no doubt that dog is better than any in Chicago. Thank you for the thoughtful, thorough review. This is the sort of review that makes the Food Board great.

Yours,

Normally I agree with your food posts, but the ones from Shipley's are great. Other donut places here in Birmingham it is a waste of time to get a Kolache. So I guess I'm half agreeing with you.

I haven't seen a 7/11 here since the late 80's.
