Does this make anyone else as irrationally angry as it does me?

Yeah that has to be a primarily seafood restaurant he’s referenced

It typically is, but I've seen it creeping into other items as well. And this is when we are basically printing new menus daily, or doing like the scan and pull up on your phone deal.

I only get annoyed when the server can't tell you the price and has to go check. Why not just print an insert for the menu with current prices.

Pisses me off too..... all they have to do is write it in a board while you waiting to be seated. If available I always snap a photo so I can see the specials and prices.

This has been my recent experience too.

I’ve seen it on some weekend menus but never during the week.

I have the Kroger app on my phone. I’d look up the price of avocados and pay them that.

(Checks app.)

69 cents each. Here you go.

Is it cheap to ask was MKT price is? I don’t give a shite but I think it embarrasses my wife.

When I was much younger I was embarrassed to ask. I almost always ask now unless it’s something like boiled crawfish and I know about what it would be.
This is along the same lines as when the chefs special or whatever is on a board or offered by the server. I will always ask about the price on that if not noted.

I don't think so, especially in this day and age.

If I'm out for a special dinner, and really have my eye on a particular item, I'm probably not asking, but I don't see a problem with doing so.

This.
There is a seafood restaurant around me that has fresh seafood every day. Everything is market price.
They have 3 chalkboards where they write the fish and the price. Love it.

Most overpriced restaurant in Jefferson Parish. I can't imagine some of the prices they are throwing out there for their "MKT Prices" these days.

Yep. And everytime I drive by there, the parking lot has a lot of cars.
