There’s still time to take out a loan to buy some crab meat for next week’s challenge!

No loan needed for me, I got a raise in my Social Security.

Submissions will be accepted from 9:00 a.m.(ish) on Tuesday, until 8:55 am on Wednesday morning. I can’t wait to see y’all’s crab dishes!

We got a few lbs from Langenstein's a few weeks ago at just above $40 each. It was very fresh, but not many jumbo lumps. Seemed to be a bit broken up.

I didn't remember about the challenge until I pulled a dish from the oven that my Mom asked me to make, but I took a pic of the finished product and a fork shot which doesn't tell you much. I finally have a submission by accident if I remember to post it.

Not off topic but there are some people get upset if you boil crabs alive.

Yup that was me, and I’ve been able catch crabs with just strings and turkey necks for decades, that’s pretty cheap in my world

Maybe you could win a challenge and pick pork belly…

Crabs are out of season right now, which makes what I planned to make impossible

Google told me that Louisiana crabs are year-round but the man at Tony’s begs to differ. He seemed more trustworthy than Google.

I purchased crabs last weekend in Bucktown and I’m pretty sure the sign I saw this morning said they have them

I’ve bought pretty crabmeat at Calvin’s from Alabama during the off season.

Darn. You've got me so curious and disappointed if you can't make the dish!

I cooked one... crab wasn't the star of the show (I live in a landlocked state) but it was delicious.
