I just rediscovered how easy and good Shake and Bake products are...did some pork chops with some mac and cheese...even my kids ate it

Now that my kids are getting older, we have been cooking a ton of the boxed stuff just for convenience. Rice A Roni was my childhood favorite. I can eat a whole box of the Chicken flavor by myself. Hamburger Helper's Stroganoff is decent. And obviously the mac n cheese you mentioned.

I loved the easy meals from my child hood and the wife and I are starting to bring some back with the kiddo.
Last week we did frozen chicken nuggets with mashed potatoes and some tater tots. It was demolished

I got a craving for shake and bake pork chops a while back. Demolished a plate of those with Kraft Mac and Cheese.

We bought shake and bake not to long ago and I must say I enjoyed it.

I microwave and eat a whole box of Stove Top Stuffing every once in awhile.

A few weeks ago it was fried bologna sandwiches for me and my husband. Neither of us had one since we were kids. Luckily we both had the envie at the same time.

Bologna sandwiches are good. With a fried egg and cheese on Evangeline Maid bread, they're great!

I get a bologna sandwich at the St Gabriel General Store on fresh white bread with Blue Plate mayo for $1.65.
Same for a hogs head cheese sandwich.
And I keep sardines in the glove box of the truck. King Oscar Brisling sardines two layer in olive oil.

I like Shake-N-Bake pork chops, my family family and I enjoy them. My PawPaw use to make a shrimp gumbo with shake n bake use as the flour in his roux. It was pretty damn good. IDK where he got that from or it was one of his inventions but it was good.

I make a healthy cheeseburger helper with spaghetti squash and pulled chicken. It's so good! I just use the seasoning mix from the box and sub almond milk for regular milk. It's damn good

Will have to try with the fried egg next time we get the craving. We did argue if the bologna should be cut so it stayed flat during frying (him) or do the "sombrero". We did agree it had to have some char.
Funny how many childhood memories the simple frying of bologna brought back. BTW he won with a cut for flat - as you get older you learn to pick your battles!
