Coming in hot for the basketball game at 7 was looking for something good afterwards. Got to get a good meal in us before the bama beatdown starts Sat afternoon! Thanks in advance and Geaux Tigers!

Elsie's Plate and Pie. Not far from campus and always a great meal!
And it'll be easy to get a table at that time.

Elsie's is great

But it's not that close to campus and will be closing by the time he gets there after the basketball game...

What kind of food are you looking for?

Chimes is open late. Umami, Overpass Merchant, and Chow Yum are both open until 10pm.

Basketball games are running that long these days?

Elsie's is great food, but if you're not leaving the game until 9pm, walking to the car, have any traffic on campus, and have to go all the way to Government St..

You're getting there minutes before they close. I'd go somewhere open later than 10.

Fuego Tortilla on Lee Drive is open 24 hours.

Smash City Burgers food truck on Chimes Street is open until 4 AM.

Another burger place, the new Dearman's mobile location inside of Brickyard South is open late.
That's located under the bridge downtown Baton Rouge.

Not picky just something we can sit down and eat and not be in a hurry before closing time.
I figure the chimes is a good option if there isn’t a substantial wait. Will probably be 930 before we can get somewhere

Not sure which direction you’re heading to after, but Pink Agave is a bit to the south and stays open until 11.
