.25 cents per raw sounds almost too good to be true? Any other suggestions from experienced food masters of New Orleans?

They sell a lot of oysters.

Don't expect really high quality.

Note: I don't eat oysters. Just going by my wife and others have said.

Best oysters I have had recently were at Station 6. Went multiple times and they are always huge and delicious.

You are not in the minority because that is generally the rule of thumb. Though I believe trucks now are refrigerated so that helps them stay fine during the summer months. That being said.....I was raised to not eat them during the summer so I'm sticking to it!

I remember the rule of thumb used to be to eat them raw only in months with an 'r' in them.

Maybe, if it kills any bacteria. Since I got sick a long time ago on a summer oyster I am not taking anymore chances.

You want Casamento's on Magazine Street but they close for the summer. They are open Mid September through May. They get the best oysters....just something about it.
