Checkers & Rally’s, which operates nearly 800 drive-thru fast-food restaurants across the U.S., plans to re-enter the Baton Rouge market with 10 to 15 locations.
Checkers has identified seven areas in Baton Rouge as “hot spots” where it would like to put a restaurant, Durham said. Those are near the Interstate 10-Interstate 110 split; at the I-110/22nd Street intersection; near the intersection of Winbourne Avenue and North Acadian Thruway; at North Ardenwood and Choctaw drives; at Ardenwood and Florida Boulevard; near Florida and Airline; and at Airline and Coursey Boulevard.

Based on the vast majority of those locations, they must be begging for armed robberies

No shite. "We've identified some of the shittiest places in BR as potential hot spots." Be sure to mark your calendars for the grand openings and triple homicides

I could destroy two big Buford's and a large order of fries right now.

Here In Montgomery we have Hardees,
. They make their biscuits from scratch and they are damn good. They pile the meat that you choose on the biscuit. They don't make it until you ordeit. Their burgers are flamed broiled and now they offer a one pound burger. Their meat is certified Black Angus. A small cheeseburger at Hardees is slightly smaller than a greasy Mac's quarter pounder.

Odds on half of these places having the fully bullet proof glass encased service area, and an eventual video on worldstar?

The one that used to be near Robert E. Lee and the foot of Pontchatrain blvd. was my go to.
I think the dicked up drive thru on that piece of property made it a cluster, but it stayed busy and still managed to go out of business.

From what I recall they make a decent banana milkshake.

Spent many an evening at this one before hanging out at the lakefront in high school. Still weird driving by and seeing a bank there now.

With all of the burger places popping up in certain areas in BR recently, they probably needed to find areas with less competition.

No kidding. I love Checkers, but not enough to eat a bullet to get it.
