it should be easy for you to be dropping 3 to 4 lbs a week

That's fairly extreme. My goal is to lose 1-2/week, not 3-4. I'm not trying to get to 220 in 6 months, or even a year. Long term, enjoyable diet is what I have in mind.

Sure it does, it means I'm tracking calories and staying at my planned track, except for when I splurge. I track drink consumption too, and I'm only drinking on weekends. My weekdays are about 1900 cals, and my weekends are about 2300 cals. This has been working very well for me until last Tuesday, which leads me to believe perhaps I've hit a plateau. Those are very normal and when I lost the bulk of my weight the first time, I had little stalls like this once every couple of months. After a week or so, it'd fall off again.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, and definitely not enough exercise.

Not trying to slam you...I had to get real about losing weight and sticking to the plan. I don't think 3 lbs a week is too much of a stretch for someone in the 290s.

I'm not offended or anything

Well, most experts say that anything over 2lb/week is not recommended. Unless of course, you're so huge you're literally in danger of your body shutting down.

But are you keeping it real? That's the burning question.

I sent him some pics of me with my shirt off.

That was all the motivation he needed. Mouton is just salt in the wound.

The weight flew off of me when I was that big. Didn't slow down until I got to 230. Not saying that's normal or expected, just sharing my experience. 80% of the effort to lose the last 20% though. Been I've been slowly #gainzing and recomping since then.

edit: made a screenshot instead of obnoxious text dump

When I did Keto it really flew off too, just had small stalls here and there. Once they broke I'd go right back on schedule.

I haven't done well keeping my macros in check. I tend to eat way too much fat and not enough protein, which would be fine if I was doing Keto, but I'm not. Still, that should only slow things down some, not prevent me from losing.
