frickin' A man!!! Good stuff. I bought a new car recently so my budget's changed. It's a bit of a double-edged sword.. I'm broke, but now I can't afford to eat out and drink beer a lot so I'm eating healthier

that's definitely a good thing! I'm kind of glad that all my friends are married w/ kids and shite so I don't have to worry about being social very often. I can chill at home with the wife and play video games and eat what I'm supposed to without worries. The not going out drinking nightly/few times per week is definitely a big advantage

I originally wanted to get a shade under 140. Now that I am close to my goal I want to continue to lose weight. I'm thinking in the 110-120 range

combination of low carb + p90x3 = weight go bye bye
Just finished week 2 of the program and for this week my carb intake 75% of the time has been < 50g and on the days I'm over 50 I've kept it to less than 100.
Not even sure why I'm stepping on the scale every day now...I guess it's just kind of habit at this point. Not even worried about the weight anymore just trying to get rid of the remaining fat that I have.

My thoughts exactly. Here's to hoping for a good weekend this weekend. No drinking for me.

My mom surprised me on Saturday by actually being in town so I took her out to lunch for mother's day which was nice. But I killed a couple of beers at lunch and then went home to work on the 2 tall-boys that have been in my fridge for a couple of months. Then breakfast out with the mother-in-law on Sunday morning made for a rough week. With that said, I also weighed in this morning after pounding 12oz of gatorade and then a protein drink immediately after, so it's not like the stomach was empty
I think I'm going to try and work my way off of the weighing in every day thing and work on trying to do it once a week. I took pictures (kind of) before I started my p90x3 program so will be using those more to judge my progress over the next 9 weeks instead of the scale.
I'll be lurking this thread every day though for sure!

Been so busy the past like month that I havent been able to post at all. Been at it since January:

I feel like im starting to plateau even though I work out at least 4 times a week and when I work out I push myself pretty hard (start with about 10 minutes of cardio running on the treadmill and then usually focus on one major muscle group per workout with abs mixed in throughout the week) but I dont drink any protein shakes or anything after.
What are some of the things yall do to avoid plateauing? And should I consider some sort of protein shake or drink for after my workout and if so what are some recommendations?
ETA: Forgot to add that I do feel like there is a difference in my body though a little more definition here or there just the weight is staying the same and I still have a lot of body fat I would like to lose

bitching and moaning, specifically in this thread, is how I dealt with plateaus. It happens...and you just have to keep truckin. I would seriously drop 5-8 pounds one month, and then go 3-4 weeks where my weight would hover around the same spot (up or down a pound). Then it would all start moving again. Double check your calories (if you track them) and make sure you're actually accounting for everything. If you aren't tracking your calories I suggest using my fitness pal and starting; at least then you'll know for sure whether you're stuck b/c of over-eating or something else.
I drink a scoop or two of the Optimum Nutrition Whey (Extreme Milk Chocolate) after my workouts. No clue if it does anything or not, I really just do it to help me get in extra protein/calories throughout the day.

Yeah I use my fitness pal but probably not as much as I should because I skip days. Will make a better effort to make sure to use it every day

I guess it's about time I did this...
The before picture was taken in Ireland back around sept/oct of 2012. I wasn't even at my fattest at this point (but still 300 pounds). I started my diet 7 months later...I didn't think to take any pictures before I started simply because I didn't know what the future would hold and frick having my picture taken.
The after picture is from last weekend I think while at Target with the wife. I don't often find a full length mirror big enough to show all of me, so I took advantage while I could for a nice "after" selfie.
