My wife asked me a question that i found amusing and just a little sad, " Why do men suddenly start wearing overly tight clothes when they lose weight?"

Thankfully I have not lost enough for this to happpen to me.

Well it looks like this diet is going to have to slow down.

I'm still eating right during the week, but now I'm trying to get on this young lady so therefore I have to go out on the weekends, and sacrifice a little during the week.

Gonna slow down my diet plans, was hoping to break 200 (205 now) by end of this month, but may slow that down to end of March, which wouldn't be too bad

dude..if it wasn't for alcohol and women i'd be 30lbs lighter today. i sabotaged the hell out of myself the last 6 months of 2010 with my shenanigans. all it did was lead to some hard feelings and i also picked up a stalker along the way. my new years resolutoin was to quit all that (at least until i'm at my targe weight)

Hmmmmm. Think I now want my money back from the VooDoo Priestess.

I didn't gain anything from the Mexican feast. I skipped breakfast and dinner and I did leave most of the sour cream, guac and cheese on the plate along with one tortillas, so evidently I didn't do any damage. Nice.

The problem will be next month. My birthday. My mom takes me out to dinner, my sister takes me to lunch, my dad takes me to lunch and my friends take me to dinner. At least 4 meal minefields in March. That will be the freaking one year anniversary of my diet. A full freaking year! Oh, the humanity!

oh and 208.6 after my 45 mile bike ride..yep..i know..its fraudulent..but it still looks nice to see a record low even if its just dehydration. can't wait to see what i'm at in the morning. 199 is getting closer!

So I'm not "overweight" (6 foot, 185 ish), but I'm trying to slim down a little more to maybe 170 by the time I get home in October.

Does drinking a lot of water really help with weight loss? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I've never been a big water drinker. But I've started to recently because I've heard it helps.

Some feel that water is needed in the process of breaking down fat so being well hydrated aids in the process.

It doesn't mean you need to gorge on water. Just means to maintain hydration. 64 ounces a day is the recommended amount.

I used to drink at least that much if not more earlier in the diet but I have slacked some in my water drinking.

I probably drink 3 or 4 times that much a day. I love iced water though.

I can't stand water.

I used to drink a 32 ounce glass with each meal and one other 32 ouncer.

Now I am lucky to get through one 32 and a pot of coffee. That is still over 64. Just wish I hadn't picked up the coffee monkey on my back.

a lot of people start drinking water in the place of soft drinks .. this helps obviously and, as myth said, staying hydrated aids your metabolism greatly and allows your kidneys to flush your body properly ... if you are just trying to drop 15 pounds in about 6 or so months .. just pay attention to what you are eating now calorie-wise and cut that back about 20% a day and the stuff will fall off of you ..
