I think this will cause water gain. The OT has had several threads on this.
Interesting video you posted, good info in there.
Weagle glad your back on track, it can be a roller coaster ride, no doubt. Your not the only one lately that has been lacking some motivation. I blame it on the rain and heat.
lsucm, get your arse in gear, you know how to do it, sometimes we need to really reach inside and find some inner strength. Look how far you have come, lets do this!

225/183.5/175 2 lbs down from Mon, hope this shedding continues

It's hard to argue with an MD breaking down the biology, isn't it? I was arguing with one of my friends who watched "fat, sick, and nearly dead" and was convinced that they gave scientific reasoning as to why it was a healthy way.. I told them there was 0 scientific evidence, just anecdotal evidence.. then I showed them that video and said "THIS is scientific reasoning, not 'it worked for me!'"

The part where he was talking about his old workout routine, lifting heavy 4-5 days a week and always feeling bad, and how that causes chronic inflammation makes sense. Plus, doing that and eating a carb heavy diet just kept him in a chronic inflammatory state.

Yep.

I am thinking about taking up Tae Kwon Do again.. I did it as a kid. It's expensive though, so I am not convinced.. but one of my coworkers is like a 3rd degree black belt, and is an instructor. I think he could get me a hook-up.

Yeah that sounds good. I just finished the video and at the end he blew my mind on cardio workouts. I did some hiit training about 3 mos ago and injured my shoulder.I tried it again ystdy but not as intenseand feel fine.I'm going to do that about 2x a week and about 2 days of cardio.

ETA I also like his thinking on the way to eat. 3 meals and 2 snacks a day is too much. I feel really good just eating 2 meals a day. as hunters/gatherers thats probably what we did

25 pounds in 30 days is just the start I was looking for. It has been totally by diet modification (and working outside most days a week). When I reach that dreaded plateau, I'll start with the exercise.

I'm under no illusion that it will keep coming off this quickly. The first 30 is usually pretty easy for me (especially in the summer months). Once football season (read: tailgating ) starts, I'll be lucky to shed a pound or two a week IF i work my arse off. Damn armadillo eggs! (and beer)

Ditto. I eat a semi-normal lunch (but choose better and eat much less) and for dinner I stuff my gullet with mainly veggies.

Pants are already loosening.

I really should start eating less at lunch. Looking at my logs, when I'm home I generally eat a small lunch without even realizing it. At work, the hunger sits on my mind more and I think about what I want to eat.

I'm the exact opposite Hulk. Although with my job my lunch is never at the same time every day and I'm limited to whatever I bring and I'm chained to my desk the rest of the day and can't really eat. Being at work is the best thing for my diet.

I'm in week 8 of c25k. Yesterday didn't go so well but today was much better. I'm just slow as frick. If I try to go faster I give out in no time. I'm trying to figure out how to speed up and keep it up.

I eat out a lot when I work because I don't feel like cooking when I finally get home. I stay low carb, but you never know what is in the food you're eating if you didn't cook it yourself, and then when I put it into MFP, im not 100% sure it's 100% accurate.. I need to cook my own food again, but I'm just so lazy and I don't get a lunch break, so if I bring food I pretty much don't get a single break and it blows dix... so with that combination of laziness and no break, I usually don't bring lunch anymore. When I'm home I'm usually playing games or doing other stuff and enjoying myself a lot more so I don't really notice the hunger

Weagle.it's hot as frick outside and seems like it would be difficult to really push yourself. Don't beat yourself up. At 8 wks into my routine I was just coming off baby steps

225/182/175 Lost a little more, this first week back after vacation has been rough, all considering I've been holding out pretty good. I hope to be back to my all time low of 178.5 sometime next week.
