Sid, you can do it. Cut the carbs (the alcohol will hurt the most - believe me) and go heavy on the protein / veg / water and the weight will come off.

ho boy last night..

beer out of the wazoo and then in a drunken stupor, started drinking vodka mixed with some sugary fruit punch crap because that was all we had left... the damage hasn't been felt yet, still at 270, but I'm sure in the coming days the wake will hit me

It's still early for me. Haven't hit a real plateau yet. My mini-goal is to reach 259 by August 1. Not sure if I'll reach it (27 lbs in 36 days is probably pushing it. However, working outside in mid-July combined with 1000 calories or less per day will bring me very close.

Second mini-goal is to be at 244 on Sep. 1, which is what I weighed the day I quit smoking in March 2010..

be careful Lucky. less than 1000/day sustained could be a problem. you can always add a few scotch and h2o's to bump it up, like do.I
