Went to Jubans for our anniversary last night and didn't eat the worse things but I am up a few lbs. I'll go with its salt because I woke up with a very dry mouth. Anyway, onward and downward to 205.

Yea, I just sort of created my own diet. I got on the scale January 10th (day after I sat in the dome drinking my sorrows during the BCS game) and was shocked that I was at 295. I was always 225-245 while in HS and college, I'm 6'4. I then just decided to cut out breads, fried foods, and dairy out my diet. I took it a step further and cut out red meat. The only reason I did this is because I tend to over eat when it comes to steak.

I have stuck to it for 6 months, except a couple steak dinners along the way. I try to stick to grilled/baked chicken, grilled/baked fish and pork. Overall it has worked for me, but who knows

up a little due to some workout fluid retention.
eta: forgot about the luncheon with cheesecake.

as to eggs, I do both. I mix eggs and eggbeater pure whites to make a larger batch of scrambled or bigger plate of fried. but I'm no eggspert.

4.5lb lost since Mon, I really didn't consider my weekend cheats too bad to have that much fluid retention, but new low anyway. Kinda been doing a leangains eating protocol lately.

Got back from a week in Orange Beach. Put on about 3 lbs. Ate decent but not great. Ran on the beach twice, but then the rain started. Time to get back on it...

Lost a couple pounds.

I feel old bad habits starting to creep back in, I've been busy and stressed lately and haven't been cooking like I was.

its tomorrow morning..packking the car now.

techincally its just a century..not a race so no one is trying to kill the other riders.

i'm looking forward to climbing the tail of the dragon..thats an epic stretch of road that kills motorcyclists by the dozens every year. thank goodness we'll have some vehicle support for the 400 riders going up it.

i'm really excited. this is one of the last great rides i've never done in this area. only 10 gap is harder and i'm planning to do that later in the fall.

after that i can get fat again but will be able to say i've done the hardest bike rides in the country.

ps excluding hawaii. i understand that volcano is a bitch..you start at sea level and climb straight up for 14,000 feet with no breaks.

Did burpees for the first time yesterday. If you ever want to punish yourself for some reason or just a good workout/cardio I suggest doing them.
