Still hanging around the same weight despite my increased efforts to shed some weight this week.

Signed up for my first 5K since running cross country in high school. Best time in HS was 19:03.
Have yet to run a 5K yet, only up to 1.5 miles running and 1 mile walking. Goal for my return to running is 25:00. If anyone is interested here is a link to sign up. LINK

I haven't started exercising yet, just eating healthier and cut out all fast food. I plan on starting a workout/walking routine this weekend.

It's amazing how taking out something as simple/common as bread out of your diet can make you lose 1/2lb a day. That's pretty much all I have really changed, eating salads instead of sandwiches.

Yes it is! I have officially lost 21.4 pounds since Jan 23rd. Started at 152(the most I have ever weighed). I don't think I look any different but I can tell how loose all my clothes are getting.

No... Over the past 2 months or so if you're talking about new lows. I don't worry about daily flucuations. But I had a lot of crawfish this weekend so I had a huge sodium water weight gain.. which goes away once your body drops the water stored from a high sodium intake.

believe it or not lester, sodium affects the water your body holds and your body can hold an incredible amount of water. My lowest before was 275.. that was sometime in Feb, it's been like 22 days since I actually reported a loss. But I woke up 2 pounds under 275.

well its been a slow week, 3 days of running, but i stuck to my diet really well, so im happy.

Saturday i run my first official 5k. my goal is under 30 minutes, which will be tough because its on the atlanta motor speedway and i get pretty bad shin splints.
but then on sunday me and the lady friend are hiking 38 miles in and 38 miles out on the Appalachian trail. thats total of 76 miles, and a total elevation change of 4.44 miles. hopefully we can make it all the way to blood mountain, but we only have 6 days.
no way in hell i could be doing any of this before i started to workout, and this board has helped.

ill update yall with my times and weight loss from the trip when i get back next saturday

i will leave yall with this picture of encouragement

The weight is still clinging on as my system adjusts back to my normal routine. With Easter weekend upon us and crawfish and salty BBQ in the near future the best I can hope for is a break even come Mon morning. Keeping my workout schedule going will help though. Happy Easter all

I don't know what I did so right in the past 2 days- down 1.5 yesterday, down another 1 today. 191/187/170. I've averaged .5 lbs per day since I started last wednesday. And we're having steak and shrimp for Easter instead of fried fish, so it won't be too bad. I'll probably still over eat, but I'll over eat no carb foods

(and dessert )

Happy Easter to all. Lent is over.

H, you should feel honored to be monitored so closely by sensei. You may be his "kwai chang cain" (weedhoopper).
