1500 calories today and a bike ride. If the scale even thinks to move up tomorrow I am dropping that sucker off the 3rd story balcony and someone will post a youtube video of cranky old guy dancing in boxers on his balcony as scale explodes on the ground.

363/310/250 I've never seen myself stay the exact same weight for 2 days in a row. I tried weighing the leg just to make sure it's not memory. It was 314, now 310 nonplateau.

Height 6'1 Weight and Goal 240/228.8/199 start date 04/04/11

I've been real lazy lately as far as diet, but I haven't been drinking either.
I think that helps me in not going back over 230.
The lowest that i have been to is 224.

Congrats to H, Myth, Bench etc.
Where has CAD been? I haven't seen him post on here in awhile.

Which bike did you get from Wal-mart, and how does it seem to be holding up?
Huffy Savannah Bike. So far it is holding up fine.

FULL PANIC MODE!!!

169.3

I don't see how this is even possible. Another 1 pound gain after only 1500 calories (yes, the number is correct) and sweating my arse off with a ride.

I'm so pissed I want to kick puppy dogs and punch unicorns. On top of the weight gain my car is dead.

I'm off to knee a leprechaun in the nuts and piss on a rainbow.

Too many carbs at once. You just can't leave those red beans and rice alone, can you? Following a sandwich at lunch? Preceded by oatmeal at breakfast. What else did you eat, Myth? What did you have for dessert?

That is still under the RDA carb intake. I am no longer DIETING.

The number of calories I have been eating shouldn't cause an increase no matter what amount of carbs I eat.

My net calories was close to 1000 yesterday after the 10 mile ride.

That's exactly how I felt when I went back to carbs, Myth. I was staying low calories and exercising my arse off and just gained 7 or 8 pounds.

279.8/236.6/160

0.8 gain this week. I had a lot more salt toward the end of the week (Wednesday - Friday) than usual so I think its from that. No big deal - onward and downward!

Ahh, now that I have read the Weekend Update With Lloyd Braun maybe just maybe the gains will stop and the world will come back from the brink of chaos.

I didn't want to post the gain, but I knew that you needed the Weekend Report.

Myth,

I went straight from Atkins induction to weight watchers and continued to lose weight, so I'm not buying that adding carbs back is going to automatically make someone gain weight. By the way, I eat more calories that you do even though I'm still dieting. If you haven't had a check-up for a while, you may want to ask a doctor. Dieting as long and as extremely as you have could have screwed up your thyroid gland or some other crap.

I am also not saying it isn't a result of the carbs. You were on Atkins way longer than I, and we all know different diets and changes affect different people in different ways. Just throwing out another possibility.

Everyones body reacts differently im sure. Im hypoglycemic so i think that had something to do with it. But myth was on atkins for a looong time. Im sure his body just needs a smoother transition than no carbs to white rice and such. Maybe try whole grains and whole wheats myth, easier for your body to process?

Meanwhile.. 363/309.2/250 looks like persistence and running my arse off (couch to 5k is kicking my arse) is paying off.

How far have you made it in the c25k hulk? I thought I was going to die after those first few sessions! Stick with it though... It's very rewarding to work through it.

Just through day 2 so far. I'm taking today slow and just going walk the lakes with my friend. My joints are killing me, so I wanted to lay low for a day and go back at it tomorrow. First 2 days have been pretty killer, day 1 was really bad. I had to quit running early 2 times, and it was only by like 5 or 10 seconds. Yesterday I did all 8 without stopping. So there's already improvement and I can feel it, but it's tough. It's taken a lot of gritting my teeth and fighting through.

Up again.

But I was expecting up. Went out to dinner and then had a sandwich at 1am. Sodium intake with the meal out was about 90 million mgs so I was expecting an increase.

For the time being, I am dropping the rice and I am going back to 1200-1500 calories but mostly carbs instead of fat.

Next trip to the store I am going back to sodium restriction. I still think my giant leap up has more to do with my sodium increase and move from a natural diuretic than from real fat gain.

Simply isn't possible to gain that much fat on the calories I have eaten so it has to be water weight.

I knew maintenance would be a pain in the arse initially until I figured out what will work best for me.

Just didn't expect the rapid rise.

Nothing wrong with taking it slow hulk. I would rarely run back to back days when I first started. I think the program recommends taking at least one day off between days.
