What's all this?
Where you started/where you are/where you want to be?

Ok, I'm back. 243. Almost a year on this thread. I'm going to get serious the next few months as I only have one or two social commitments worth blowing up over. The rest are minor so I have time to really work at it.
Walked five miles this morning and biked for thirty minutes. Right at a thousand calories today. I feel good.

Cut out the carbs and the weight will fall off. It is not that bad once you vet used to it. I miss the daily beer, but i still drink a little on the weekends. I have lost almost 30 lbs since july 12 and i have cheated a little on the weekends, but i stay strict during the week. This is all with no exercise as of yet.

I used to be in good shape... worked out all the time, jogged. Then I got out of the military in 2007 and haven't really done shite since.

So the Atkins stuff is legit? I do love me some German wheat beer... damn.

I have always done low fat diets, which have worked. This is the first time trying atkins and it is really working for me. I am not hungry all the time on it like i usually am on other diets. As long as the pounds keep coming off, i am gonna roll with it. I was 242 lbs when i got back from basic training about 10 years ago and i would like to get back to there. I am 6'3" and generally just big guy all over. I could lose a hundred pounds and still wouldnt be thought of as "skinny".

That's how I'm built too. I have really broad shoulders and a barrel chest. I hovered around 210-215 and looked normal... went to boot camp and got down to 180. I looked like a fricking holocaust survivor... I'm 5'11".

Same here with the barrel chest and broad shoulders. I got down to 215 one summer while drinking alot and working in the heat and not eating, basically abused my body that summer. I looked like a pow as well. You could see my ribs. I was in good shape and size around 240 after basic.

Hey if I do everything right and don't lose, there isn't much more that I can do.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I've told you all along that I'm cheering for you to blow my doors off. Everyone loses differently. I'm sure if you go back and look at your weight loss graph from day 1 til now, you'll still be pleased with what what you see. Hell, you've already lost a 2nd grader. Keep up the good work.
By the way, CAD's suggestion to graph our weight loss was still one of the best suggestions so far on the board. That has kept me motivated as much as anything. If anyone is not doing that, it is a simple thing with Excel and is encouraging when you have a non-plateau.

Big bounce. Now that I have added calories and carbs back it is nearly impossible to hit the low sodium number I used to hit so I imagine I am going to bounce around until my body gets used to the higher sodium.
