Myth, you're in wobble world. It takes a few weeks mentally to adjust to the 1 to 3 lb wobbles that "free" eating can bring. as long as you're at your comfortable size it gets easier.

Na it was 164.5.

So a pound on a 1950 calorie day but as I said my daily sodium has jumped from about 1200 to 2500.

Tomorrow will make 3 months since I started eating better and running. Today, I was just over 30lbs lost. I'd like to drop about 5 more.

Hey Gil, have you ever heard of an app for phones call "couch to 5k"? I downloaded it last night. Supposedly in like 6 or 8 weeks it trains you to go from sitting on your couch to running a 5k nonstop. It's interval training, they start you off easy at like 30 seconds of running, 4.5 minutes of walking, 30 seconds of running, etc. 3 times a weeks, varying amounts each day. Then they work you into a minute of running, 4 minutes of walking, etc. Basically ease you into running more and more. I'm going to give this a try, I think if I set a challenge for myself on the exercise instead of just "going walk" or "going run" with no real purpose, I can be more successful at it.

yes I have heard of it....I am not a big runner...when I run a lot I get pains in my shins...prolly due to cheap running shoes....I have had some friends use something very similar and they liked it....like you said, it gave them a target and goal...

good luck

Happens to me too, but I think it's more because I'm 310 pounds running

I know dieting worked for me well up until this point, but it seems like I need to do more. Dieting alone just doesn't seem to cut it anymore.

I don't know your entire situation...but losing weight, imo needs to be lifestyle change...working out, getting healthier, fitter and stronger will only help improve one's confidence and quality of life...just to name a few things..

in a totally different situation than yours, a guy I know began working out with me 01/02/11...he was 6'2" 139lbs when he started....had just broken up with his gf, etc....he has put on over 30lbs to date and has a new attitude now....

good luck ....you can do it.

Hulk... I finished the Couch 2 5k program last night. I would highly recommend it. When I started the program, I could hardly run 1 minute without feeling like I was going to die. Last night I ran a full 30 minutes, and did over 3 and a half miles. It hasn't been easy, but it's been extremely rewarding working towards the completion of the program.

Thanks Law.

At my weight I'm not sure how successful it'll be, but I'm going to give it all I have. My friend is at 280 and since starting it has lost 15 pounds and can run 4 miles nonstop, so I think that speaks volumes.

The program is very flexible. If you want to repeat a week you can. It's supposed to be around 9 weeks, and I probably took closer to 11 just from missing days here and there. You just have to remember that working out isn't always fun so you have to push yourself at times.

Holy crap! Just got back from Biloxi and I will not go near a scale for a week. Dungeness crabs last night -- I ate two WHOLE crabs, plus a lot of other stuff. Then breakfast this morning.

So much salt consumed -- so thirsty I could croak.

Another day and another bounce up or wobble as bench calls it. Not so much with the wobbling yet. Just climbing up.

323/166.5/165

Only had about 1700 calories yesterday. I'm getting nervous. I knew I was going to bounce up a bit when I returned to a more normal calorie intake and higher sodium level but I thought it would be a little slower than going up a pound a day two days in a row.

Remember what happened to me when I adopted a high carb diet.. shot up 7 pounds. Once you reintroduce carbs, you will shoot up and then come back down as your body readjusts to using them instead of fat.

I think my gain probably has a bit more to do with sodium rebalancing than carbs. One can't really gain two pounds on only 3700 calories over two days.

I hope the climb stops soon or I might get nervous and head back into induction and drop to 160.

Dude I gained 7 pounds in a weekend when i switched back to carbs, and I promise I wasn't eating anything over 2,000 cals a day.
