stalls and (non)plateaus happen on every eating plan. trick is to not get discouraged and realize if it knocked a significant amt of weight off that it will likely continue to do so if you are patient

Hulk, sounds like an obvious answer to me. If the carbs make you feel that bad, get your arse back on Atkins. Most diets work when done correctly, but that doesn't mean that every diet works for every person.

With all of the snacking you mentioned, it would be really hard for me to keep up with everything.

I'm pulling for you.

I am. it's too much. I don't know how I handled it before I dieted. Well I do, I ate all the time so that I could make sure it didn't happen.

I've had a bad few days as far as the diet goes, I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and going back to induction.

170/147.5/145

still no ability to do pushups, but I'm able to do full dumbell routines with the 15's. Hopefully, in a few weeks I'll get back to the 20's.

Gil, what your typical execise routine. I need to get in shape sans pushups.

New low today.

323/171.9/165

Didn't have a great July. Just 4 pounds dropped but I guess after 16 months it isn't going to drop easily anymore.

I have several speed bumps this weekend. I might have to hit hermit mode and avoid a couple.

I had half a leftover cake in my possession last night and I almost talked myself into bringing it home. At the last second, I asked someone if they wanted it and they obliged.

My stomach had me convinced that I would be okay putting the cake in the freezer, but my brain realized that cake would never make the freezer if I got it home.

Bench...

First off, I am NO "OT workout Guru"....I work out 6X a week at Calloways Health Cub, place is a dump but it is near my house and on the way to the office...my only "off day" is usually Sat, but I typically (if not playing golf) do some sort of 45 minute cardio....I do alot of "core" body exercises and find most of my exercise routines on line...

I took a week off from dieting. After I got rid of my fear of eating carbs, I was able to eat quite a few of them. Up 2.5 pounds, but this is an experiment. Getting into induction today and will see if I tricked my body to lose the last few. Still only 4.5 pounds away.

Have 6 weeks to take that off before my cruise.

Come on, Hulk. Hop back on the induction train with me.

Mine has slowed, so you're still in range. I've lost 51 lbs., but leave for a week at the beach on Sunday.

I keep a spreadsheet with my daily weight loss so that I can look back over certain periods of time to see what's up. My computer got the blue screen of death the other day while that file was open. I got everything back, except my weight-loss spreadsheet was unrecoverable.

Sorry to hear that.

I have over a year of info about my weight and what I was eating on a site that died. It is still there but it takes like 20 minutes to get the page to pull up. Oh well, I moved to myfitnesspal.

Bham, that sucks. check all your posts in the Putta thread to reconstruct a bare bones one. or pick a start date and an end date on a graph and then draw a squiggly line downward (show some ups too) for a graph of 51 lbs lost.

I feel your techno pain. I'm too old to do what I just did. I spent 2 days on the phone with ATT trying to reconfigure a modem that crashed when I asked to upgrade DSL speed. Finally a "tech engineer" adjusted the noise filters on the phone line which got me back up and running. no in-home wifi for 2 days puts a strain on family happiness.

It reminded me of old time cranks calls years ago. People were asked to blow in their phones because there was too much bird mess on the telephone lines.

I actually just finished doing that. Unfortunately I only post my weight on here once per week or when I hit milestones. Oh well, better than nothing.

As for modeling, I did take before and halfway pictures, and plan on after when I get to 150, but I am not a glutton for punishment, I think I will not post them on TD....

This thread has remained pretty safe for pics, but the hesitation is understood.

And ya'll leave Hulk alone, he's admitted that the high carbs thing didn't work, and that it made him a little crabby....he will be fine in no time :)
