I couldn't stop eating my broiled chicken last night. Somehow it didn't hurt me.

Find what will work for you. I am a low carb, there is Weight Watchers, low calorie, etc.
Set a goal, I weigh every morning, keep the cheats to a minimum. Good luck

MEASURE EVERYTHING!

Knowing exactly how many calories you are eating is very important.

Keep a food log on myfitnesspal.com. That site is fantastic for logging weight and food info and exercise info.

Find a diet that you can stick to. One that you can tolerate the most. For me it was low carb and Atkins.

Never shop hungry.

Weigh everyday. Some do this weekly. I think everyday is best but it can be frustrating when you have unexpected gains.

Get a good digital scale. Go as far as reading reviews online before making the purchase.

Cad and I both have wonky scales that only show a new weight if you have gained or lost over a pound, otherwise it shows the weight from the day before. Get a better scale than the one I have.

Don't over do the exercise. Some on here believe exercise is key and that is nonsense. Diet is key while exercise helps you get healthier. If you exercise too much, you might burn out, especially in the heat.

Keep coming back here for support and this is a great place to vent.

And remember, it isn't going to happen over night. It took time to gain weight so it will take time to lose it.

Good luck.

But are you back to logging in myfitnesspal.com?

You are the one that touted that site on here so get back to using it.

They are in thread somewhere. I'll post again later tonight even though it will open me up for more jeering about my jorts.

We've all been guilty of jortsing at one time in our lives.

I can already tell that you'll fit right in.

By the way, I just took the wife and kids out for pizza. It was too damned hot to cook outside at the campsite. I know I should feel guilty, but it's a holiday weekend. I'll worry about it after the camping trip.

I was watching an episode of scrubs last night and a little kid had an ice cream cone. I wanted to leap through the tv, tackle the kid and take his ice cream.

The 4th is going to be ugly. Along with my two hot dogs I am going to smash a giant ice cream cone.

In 16 months, I have had something sweet 1 time. I think about 12 months ago I had 1 scoop of ice cream in a cup.

In preparation for my July 4th cheat, I rode 20 miles for the second time this week. That is the first time I have done 20 twice in a week. Good lord it was hot even though I didn't start out until 6pm.

I knew it was time to give up the jorts a few years ago when some mentioned my "Alan Jackson" look.
