This weekend, I think I'll use some of the remaining prosciutto and fontina cheese to stuff some chicken breasts.

That would be a long drive for some chicken.

Bham: I only have thighs so I'm stuffing those

I'm no chef... how would you recommend cooking it? 375 for 45 minutes in the oven or would my good 'ol george foreman do the trick?

Probably should post in a normal cooking suggestions thread for reliable cooking times.

Hulk,
I haven't done it before. I think I'm going to do something like this recipe:
LINK

Obviously, I'll skip the breading and the sauce. I also think I'll brown the chicken, then add the prosciutto, cheese, and spinach just before placing it in the oven.

Been reluctant to post stats but after reading the PaNu guy is 5'11 and 150, i've got a response for the reekers.

I just looked at the calendar and planned out my first cheat.

My birthday is April 7th, and we're going to six flags with some friends on April 8th. I think that's a perfect time for a 2 day break from Atkins.

That probably is pretty good timing as I expect to plateau around that point if my normal diet experience is any indicator. In the past with Atkins, when I plateau, I take a couple of days off, then spend a few days in induction mode, and the weight loss kicks back in.

Myth, you've been on the diet for a long time. Have you had this same experience?

The bad thing about planning a couple of cheat days is that I am already visualizing the menu for those days and it makes me want it now.

its still about the calories when you get down to it. i was 201 yesterday..and i pigged out on huevos chorizo at lunch with a customer and felt like a total loser afterward.

however, i'm used to feeling hungry when i leave work (i eat maybe 400 calories TOPS during the day) but yesterday i wasn't hungry so..i didnt eat once i got home.

i had originally planned my second interval training for last night which was ahead of schedule but fell asleep reading my daughter a book so i said screw it.

i firmly believe i would have seen the magical mystical 199 today had i been able to do my workout..its nice to still be at 201 even after a pig-out..but again..its because i didnt make it ***WORSE*** by giving up and eating alot at dinner as well.

so yes..i am all about the high-fat diet..but that doesnt mean i shouldn't be disciplined and limit my calories as well.

I've had tons of plateaus of varying length. I think I had one 2 week plateau even though I did everything right.

Some people say to just keep plugging away. Others say you need to up the calories to trick your system. I've tried both methods.

Tricking the system by having lots of calories can cause you to gain a few pounds and by the time you actually lose that new weight, you probably would have finally busted through the plateau. I've done that a couple of time.

Now when I hit plateaus, I just come on here and scream at Cad and then I feel better.

200/192.5/170

Things going really well this week. I haven't stuck to a real strict diet, but I've made adjustments in my routine to burn more than what I'm taking in, and it's paying off. My pace isn't great, but the lbs are coming off and that's what counts. Mini-goal is to be in the 180's by April.

Dieting is hard with a 3 year old and an 8 month pregnant wife, but I feel like I'm doing well.

Oh well, even if it sets me back a couple of pounds, I've gotta do the cheat day about once a month. It gives me something to look forward to and keeps me from cheating throughout. If I'm going to knock myself out of ketosis, I'd rather do it once a month in a major fashion as opposed to a little cheat here and there.

I lost about 45 lbs in 12 weeks on the Body for Life diet, and it encourages a major blow out once per week.

Good job Gumbo. I gained almost as much as my wife when she was pregnant. Unfortunately, the majority of mine didn't come off when the babies came out.
