I broke Keto last night...it wasn't technically on purpse but I still did it. New-ish restaurant here in the Ham that the girlfriend has been wanting to try, so we called in an order. I got chicken wings (it's a chicken place) and they turned out to be breaded. Oh well, shite happens. They were good, but I just don't enjoy breaded wings that much anymore. I hate wasting money even more, so I ate my half and called it a night. Did not bother to waste time getting on the scale today, just going to use that extra bit as energy for the gym today!

There's no easy way to do it.. just have to power through.
Personally, I'm not a fan of never cheating (obviously). I think planned cheat meals are crucial to most people's mental health. However, it's possible to go have a cheat meal and stay within your daily allotted calories. That's the best way to do it, imo.

Self shame, mostly.
It's rough the first week or two, especially if something like a party is going on in that time frame and you're trying to cut alcohol or junk food. I literally have to tell myself no, that's going to ruin everything.
My mind has had to split in a sense between that guy in there that is always just like, "whatever, enjoy yourself" and the new guy that has to say, "STFU and do what you said you would."
Terrible explanation, but it's just about will power and really wanting to hit goals. Once you start seeing results, it gets easier.

All I'm saying is if you have six days of 1800 instead of 2000 thats 1200 calories that can be used to cover yourself when you have that 'one' cheat meal that's 4000 calories
ETA for the posts afterwards
The best thing I ever read was during weight loss we should learn to be "American hungry" meaning you don't have to worry about starving to death so don't eat every meal like you don't know when you will get food next. As far as cheat meals, I always would just fast the day I knew I wanted something unhealthy to keep the calories close. For instance I'll eat a simple sandwich for the day and then get something like cane's at dinner.
I've just been maintaining lately but decided that even though I'm fine where I'm at, I want to reach my goal and want to do it soon so I'm going back to 1500 calories like I did during football season.

I keto'd hard from 300lbs to 230lbs without any cheat meals. It can be done. Just takes discipline. Right now I'm mostly in maintenance mode, slowly recomping and enjoying life with a single carb refeed per week.

Bacon and scrabbled eggs with bell pepper mixed in for breakfast. And people say keto isn't sustainable...

What I did in the past when I had hard cravings was to load up on keto foods. Eat a crap ton of the food you should be eating in your diet to the point of being sick of it. Calories are harder to count anyway. So I usually would just stuff my face. The only downside I had was too much energy the next day, if that's a problem.

Scrambled eggs with onion bellpepper nitrate free Canadian bacon or regular bacon is my breakfast nearly every day

Did someone go on a down voting spree? ....nice....

I usually don't eat breakfast in the morning on weekdays. If we don't brunch on the weekends then breakfast is a huge meal for me, ~4-5 eggs and bacon

Super low carb day but the amount of homemade pimento and cheese and pork rinds I ate today is embarrassing!

Had a rough couple of weeks but back on the pain train.
If I have a cheat meal I definitely cut calories the rest of the day. Ill do a meal replacement smoothie or fast. Its cheat weekends that are the problem.

I ate some carbs and drank a little beer this weekend and my stomach looks flatter and I feel much better than I did all last week.
Might have been eating way too much ground meat last week.
Got some new vitamins and fish oils this weekend (Controlled Labs). Gonna be a great week.

Did pretty well this weekend. Stayed at 1800 cals even with the cheat meal, felt great. Yesterday I had a couple of the new watermelon gose from Terrapin. Low cal beer, but still caused me to go over on cals a little. I did get on the scale this morning and it hasn't moved, so that bodes well for the rest of the week.

I have to get my fiber up. I've been feeling pretty good but haven't been using the bathroom much. I hate vegetables so much. I bought some flax seed and have been using it in smoothies so we'll see.

Yeah I know, I was trying to get it through diet first but I may have to take drastic measures.

I've always had an irregular bathroom schedule. I may go once or twice a week depending on how much alcohol I drink on weekends.

I've been a first thing in the morning everyday guy for most of my life.
