O'briens for lunch and LaBoca for dinner.

Birthday weekend starting off right. Going to try and keep it keto all weekend. Meats and whiskey only.

work and family schedules got in the way, so fell off of IF routine for last week and a half. Kept carbs down so at least I didn't gain any weight or inches in waist.

Back at it today. Really want these last 9 pounds gone.

Leaving work early today to head to Pensacola for some sun and family time. Hopefully they're all still keto'ing it up like they were last time I was there.

Family near the beach is fantastic, always a good excuse to get away for a weekend.

Yeah,

The beach sounds nice. Drinks, sun,...... half naked women...

You have fun, within reason.

192/167/???

4 months ago today, I tipped the scales at 192. Today I'm at 167. Ramped up the running, started eating less/better, cut out most sugars and I'm down 25 pounds.

I don't have a real goal weight, but if I can stick around 165-170, I'm happy. Any lighter than that, and I start to look too skinny.

And yes, you can drink good beer while losing weight.

First time on scale since Easter. Was 218 then. Been loose with calories and going off carb reservation once a week so not bad.

Only reason weighed now is because at Tulane for this osteoporosis dexa scan thing

Eta: 18.5% body fat according to dexa. 5'9", 222lbs #gainz

Congrats

Different strokes for different folks, though. Personally, I can't physically run enough to burn that amount of calories for the beer because I'm fat... and I hate running. Besides that, I'd rather give up alcohol during the week and limit consumption on weekends to manage calories than run miles every day for 100 days straight. But you enjoy running, so more power to you. Lots of ways to get it done.

BF? Nice, if so.

Remind me, were Quest bars part of your keto plan?

It doesn't have to be running. But 30 minutes of some sort of exercise daily will be a helluva lot more effective than diet alone. I run because it burns a lot of calories in a short amount of time. But you can do whatever, just get the heart rate up.

Oh, I agree. I've been hitting the gym 4-5 times/week, and off days I go for a walk. But I exercise to help myself be in shape, not for the calorie burn. I don't track my exercise in MFP or anything.

Yep, body fat according to dexa scan.

I eat quest bars but I don't go overboard. I probably eat about 3-4 bars a week
