Do not know if I can go ride today this week has been from hell. Every time I get a chance to do something, something else happens and its no bueno. But the scenery should be there so may just go ride and call it a day.

Yesterday's WOD was short:
6 rounds w/a partner for time:
12 KB walking lunges
6 KB clean and jerks
Partner holds a wall handstand while the other person does a round, rotate.
Took my wife and I 7:30.. but the real workout was the warmup
Warmup:
5 rounds with a partner:
-150m row
-While partner is rowing, do burpees
-Then 80 barbell walking lunges (you and partner hold a barbell on your shoulders, do walking lunges. We did 20 at a time, switched shoulders, etc)
-25 barbell thrusters on each arm.
After that 'warmup' my legs felt like big arse balloons, hell of a quad pump.

WOD
4x3 85% deadlifts. I hit 275.
"12.1"
7 minute amrap of burpees with a 6" jump. I need to figure out how to scale burpees. I got by far the lowest total burpees on the day. That shite suuuucked

You’re a bigger baw, have you tried widening your stance when you pop up, almost to a sumo stance.
If that’s still too tough right now, they should get you a box or do it to where you basically walk each leg up one at a time into a standing position.
I would recommend doing as many as possibly the traditional way and then transitioning to scaled versions when you’re out of gas. Yeah it sucks buts how you get better at em

Looks like a scaled version is to walk your legs back and forth rather than jumping.
And yeah, I'd do the scaled version once I'm toast. Unfortunately in a 7 minute amrap I was toast at like 2 minutes

Still not over this freaking cold. So backing off all stuff until Friday. Thanksgiving dinner for me Digornio Pizza and Coke with a chaser of football.
I am hoping to see some floozy on Friday but doubt any will be at gym, they will be shopping most likely.

Power clean and jerks. 15 minutes to work up to 1RM. I got to 145.. I need work on the clean. The jerk portion wasn't too bad, weight felt fine, but 155 failed at getting the weight up in the clean. I don't know if it's hip explosion or not shrugging and pulling properly. Need to have coaches watch my cleans next time we go heavy. I can just feel that something isn't firing right. I was pretty tired by the time I got there too.. need to start at 135 next time.
Metcon was "grace"
30 power clean and jerks for time. I scaled down to 75 pounds and finished in 2:39

Yesterday was weigh in day. Successfully maintained through Thanksgiving week. Weight was .2 lower yesterday than the Wednesday before it.
Gonna do a week of lower cals this week, then basically maintenance the rest of the year.

So yesterday was Leg Day and then some Palof Presses. After did a 10 minute ride got 3 miles on stationary.
