i fight that battle too. Im not even gonna lie.

But hey im not going to brag about being able to eat a chicken sandwich, fries and drink beer if im going to cheat all damn weekend. You have the wrong mindset if you get joy from that. The diet is meant to be rewarding in this sense, but if you are essentially going to eat bad food but fit it in your macros during the week and then eat bad food outside your macros during the weekend WTF is the point.

I can tell I've lost inches in month due to belt and fit of certain clothes.

I'm worried that school being out my discipline will go away. I have dropped 27-30 lbs since March 1, so ahead of the game. Now my goal is 1-2 lbs week. If I can get to 170 by July 1 it's a huge goal for me. But now I'm lifting I doubt I lose much but, I should tone/trim. I haven't lifted ever tbh until2 weeks ago. Most my loss came from cardio/diet.

Take some progress pictures in your underwear one morning. I usually do every Saturday morning because I typically have a larger meal Saturday nights

dont know what your summer is like but try and make it a point to do something active outside for an hour or so each day. On top of what you are doing. Walk the dog, ride a bike, do some gardening, kayaking, whatever. That helps me stay on track. Keeps my mind on the goal, quells boredom, and most of all makes me feel good.

My "cheat" is Sunday.

Usually breakfast. Last week of school my diet was

Oikos vanilla yougurt/frozen strawberries/unsweetened almond milk shake or 4 scrambled eggs

Pbj on orrowwheat bread

Foreman grilled chicken (I HATE CHICKEN)

I need to get my salad game back again like in March and or Tuna for lunch

I just can't get enough protein no matter what I do. My sugars have spiked but my kCals under 1500 are legit (MFA)

I'm scared to keto due to kidney issue it can cause.

I usually have to get at least 2 scoops of powder to meet my protein goal a day. I can only take so much chicken breast

Fiber is where I struggle. Really want to make a point to try to get more natural fiber rather than thru protein bars/wheat bread

Lester I have decided I'm working with some kids so we're going to walk a mile on track in morning. I'm using health physically will help their mental health angle. I'll do my stationary and elliptical in regular workout also.

I need to find a good powder then. I think the OG at the gym take too much and the clowns at the fitness store want to sale me most expensive one so I balked at them.

The MFA that Hulk got me on has been a godsend

Halo Top has 12g in a pint. Just saying.

Really, I love avocados for fiber. High in fat, which could mess up macros for some, but the world's perfect food, IMO. 9g of fiber in a small avocado.

Yeah I kind of got burnt out on halo Top for a bit, and isn't really the natural fiber I was talking about

Avocados on the other hand.. I knew they were known as a fibrous food but didn't realize they had 9g per

I push HT on everyone, but eat it like twice a year. I'm a fraud.

Raspberries also have 9g in a cup, but avocados are a better value. And more filling.

I use isopure zero carb, get if off Amazon for like $40 a tub which has ~25 2 scoop servings I think

It doesn't taste the best but I mix it with frozen berries and such. You could always just use one scoop and get double the servings out of it. Just depends on how much protein you need to hit that day I reckon

ETA: don't get it at academy. The same tub is like $60

I had a long response here but I decided that I only really cared about being accused of trying to deceive, so I wanted to address that.

I threw the chart at you because I was directly answering your very specific question, "what did your weight look like the next day after eating a chicken sandwich fries and beer". That screenshot answers that question, nothing more. I was not trying to deceive anyone; you asked a specific question and got a specific answer, then acted like I am trying to deceive.

My big thing lately to get fiber is chia seeds. Every gram of carb is actually fiber. So about 6g fiber in 14g serving. I toss 14g in my blender bc when I make a protein shake. Chia seeds, frozen raspberries/blueberries/blackberries, and 1.5c of spinach.. that will set your fiber right.

Woke up 1.5 pounds lighter than yesterday. Did not expect that, but welcome it.

I think it all depends on your health goals vs weight loss goals vs time frame as they relate to what works for each individual person.
I know that personally, I cant do IIFYM because most of my macro planning happens on the fly, I'm at home around 11 on most weeknights and I get up at 4:30-5, as much as I KNOW that meal prep is an easier way to look at eating, it just doesn't fit my current lifestyle.
That being said, understanding your short comings and choosing a way of eating that accommodates them is a daunting task for a lot of people, and why they fail at change over and over.
If someone is a bigger person and they are cool with losing more slowly over a longer period of time, eating a little more freely than most, then I try to be patient with their process, because its their process, not mine, even when I don't agree.
For me, I chose Keto because long term its sustainable for me, its easy enough to do on the fly, and it fits my relationship with food, gives me goals to achieve every single day, and ultimately gives me a progress level that I am comfortable with.
I don't have cheat days or cheat meals with this way of eating, because when I think about the two days of not losing that I will have to do to get back to ketosis then in the bigger picture, that cheat meal just isn't worth it to me. my cheats consist of bites of things, when I want something sweet, fried, etc. because that's usually just about the taste, and then I can go on with my day without that one bite having a whole lot of effect on my day or the way I look at food.

I respect that, georgia. Do what works best for you. I will never argue against that. In my life, it's just my wife and I to feed and take care of and we both have pretty normal 9-5 jobs.. we do some loose meal prepping but are not crazy about it. We pre-plan any known outings or potential hang-ups in MFP and plan around them as we go, having done some lunch meal prepping on Sunday. We plan our days out one day in advance (so this evening we'll plan out tomorrow). I usually eat the same 2 or 3 things for breakfast, and meal prep lunches.. so usually we are just planning out dinner. Weekends are the exception.. but we almost always have an Izzo's lunch saturday or sunday, so even then we are only figuring out a single lunch/week.

I understand why Lester is jumping on me about this. I have historically had trouble sticking to diets, and his view on dieting is more traditional and restrictive. On top of this, me posting about eating what others perceive as 'shite food' is a bit boisterous, something that I should not be given my history. However, I'm very excited about Avatar Nutrition and flexible dieting.. it's completely changing my view on food in general, and I believe it's changing my relationship with food for the better and I want to share that with everyone. I need to do it in a better manner, however.

I believe this is going to lead to largely remedying my overeating/binging issues, but it will take time. And I am going to always enjoy my time at special events, like weddings... as everyone should. It's the minor events leading to bad choices that are the real issue that I think this will clear up. You know, the nights where I just go out to eat with friends or family and say "frick it i blew my diet now, may as well go HAM!".. those kinds of things should clear up more and more as time goes on, and then I'm left with falling off the rails for big, important events like weddings.

Can we talk about Floozies and fun stuff yet?

Just went to the school to walk something off and realized that a full trip around the campus is a mile. I think I know what I am doing to my kids next year and this summer (the ones I work with)

Healthy body is a healthy mind

Doing RFL until next weekend (june 9th). So 1200 calories 250g of protein. I feel really good fasting like this. Makes me feel like I'm in control of my eating habits. Will try to do 20+ hours each day this week.

God I am so over the rfl. This eating 1200-1300 calories a day and burning 600 or so from light cardio and lifting sucks. I am dead. Luckily only got 2 more days then a little 2 day break of we goto the Mississippi coast, if not gonna hang in with you until next Friday. Then for sure a 2 day break at least.

Thing that sucks is I haven't lost an ounce; holding water like a mother. Just hoping to get that whoosh Lyle talks about and I have gotten before.
