ok so maybe add a small protein shake in pre workout and something type of bcaa supplement during workout. I highly recommend Xtend but any will work. This should help with recovery. I would take atleast 2 scoops during and if you can afford it, 2 right after.
Supplementation is just that, to supplement your diet. But when on diets like we are on it becomes essential to continue to progress in the strength department.

I'll check 'em out. Do you just sip on the the bcaa mix during workout, or just like chug it half way through or something? I've never done anything with those, in all my reading previously it was suggested that bcaa's weren't really needed unless working out fasted, so I just assumed they weren't for me.
I'm willing to give it a shot though for sure...any flavor recommendations, and while we're at it, and pre-workout recommendations? This c4 shite is gonna be gone soon, and other than the tingly feeling I get with it, I don't think it does much for me.

the bcaa mix really just helps endurance. I prefer the watermelon flavors. Also if you really really wanted to get serious you could add peptopro protein in the mix. true nutrition is going to be your best bet on getting it. its a crazy fast absorbing protein. and yes you just sip on it.
as far as pre workout, it honestly depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a non stimulant pre workout then I highly highly recommend Hemavol by iforce blue rasberry flavor.
for stimulant based, honestly it depends on the level of stimulant you want.
Mr Hyde is very good, has about 400mg of a caffeine mix in it. also Jackd up is the exact replica of the original Jackd 3d that so many people love. also lockout supplements has one by LGI that is also very very good.

quote:i do this. put the scoop in a 22oz shaker bottle. drink about a third, then fill back up with water, and repeat again. Sipping it during workout. I use Scivation Xtend Fruit Punch.

Thanks guys. BB.com has the Xtend on sale by 1 get 1 50% off, so I think I'm gonna give that a try and possibly some of that Mr. Hyde stuff. I drink coffee daily, and the c4 does nothing to me at all. I think the extra caffeine in the Mr. Hyde might help...oh yeah, they have that for 25% off as well.

I've had entirely too much beer over the last few days. This shite's gonna end today.
Plus, it's like 108°.
It's gonna be all Arnold Palmers and Titos from here on out.

I drank so much beer on vacation over the weekend.
I even told my favorite bartender down here to give me tito's and water even when I order a beer from now on.
I went like 3 weeks without beer earlier this year around february and I felt great.

Another day of chicken wings, boiled eggs, and swiss rolls. I found another salad dressing so I can eat greens again.

I've been on a trip to ATL for work this week. Diet has been good except for a few beers.. Hard to resist
Today I had steak and eggs for breakfast, chicken Caesar salad for lunch, and Hooters smoked wings for dinner.

Imagine going all carnival season without King cake as it is being thrown in your face. There was king cake every single damn day at our office.
Idk how I did it.

Lightest I've been in 20+ years (max was 257 in June 2013). Strength in weight room keeps going up and I'm faster across the board in swim, bike, and run, so I'm comfortable that my overall nutrition is good.
At 50 years old I'm growing muscle, adding strength & speed, and shedding fat because of regular exercise, a low carb diet, and intermittent fasting.
This approach is easy and easily sustainable. The gains add some great incentives to keep going.
Thanks LSU777.

don't thank me, you put in the work. All the information in the world is useless unless you put forth the effort.
Glad to see you have made some much progress and are so close to you goal. Keep it up.

Modified V-diet day 10.
Dropped 1/2 inch on my waist in the first week, measurements this morning had me down another 1/2 inch.
20 days left.
