Diet doesnt seem terrible. But hard to judge without tracking your macros. Myfitnesspal app will be your friend, track your macros a week and see where you are. When you are not trackiny, you are not holding yourself accountable and it is easy to be eating too many calories. Your goal is only 5 lbs, and that will be easy to do.

I'm on those poverty macros again.. Definitely went too hard Thursday (My weigh-in week starts Thursday.

So my macros today - Wednesday are basically 170p, 55f, 140c.. give or take

Penance I pay for letting loose too much. Avatar has been eye-opening for me, though. All of the times I'd eat too much and not make up for it has been my problem.

need to lose around 5 lbs. recently i have been trying to eat low carb/ keto but I find the keto cookbooks to be too complicated for everyday life and I also cook carbs for my family. I lost exactly 1/2 Lb

How much water are you drinking? It has been my experience that the pace of my weight loss is directly related to how much water I'm drinking. Need to drink at least 64oz a day, IMO. More would be better.

looks like you are on the right track Hulk keep at it and stay strong.

This past weekend was the church bizzare all weekend. Cooked 75 lbs of crawfish in an ettoufee across 3 days. Hardest week of the year for me usually but I managed to lose 0.8lbs but did take 1.1" off of my waist line so the whole Carb cycling keto diet apexnutrition has me on is working well.

I did 4 batchs of this(this is before the stock and flour)

So overall I am happy as shite with the loss. I have a DEXA scan set up for saturday morning so I will know exactly how much work I have to get done to get to sub 10% for July beach trip.

I do not write down what I eat so tracking my macros seems intimidating. Is there a good app? Most days i have a tbsp of coffee booster-a shortcut to bullet proof coffee in my coffee. A few days a week I skip breakfast. I do use truvia but do not drink diet soda.On the other days i have a shake with egg white protein powder, spinach, almond milk and some almond butter or two eggs scrambled with a slice of bacon and leftover veggies. I may use fat to scramble them. I eat leftover meat and veggies for lunch unless i am on the road when I eat a low carb bar or some homemade chicken salad. I usually eat a handful of nuts in the afternoon. I eat grilled meat and vegetables for dinner- mostly zucchini, broccoli, spinach or green beans. If I am prepping I make sugar free coconut milk custards for dessert but mostly I am too disorganized. I guess I probably get too many calories. When I used ketostix my results are trace to small.
Exercise-weights 2-3 days a week. Walk-run 2-3 miles 4 days a week. Occasional spin class or bike ride.
I get discouraged when nothing happens and then I drink wine and eat candy, this is after a week of no results, but I know it doesn't help. Trying to be completely honest here.

You need to keep it simple. Nobody does that crap in those books, way too complicated. here is a good simple meal plan

Breakfast-Keto coffee with grassfed butter and mct oil

Lunch-4-6oz lamb chops or flat iron steak
2 cups of organic greens(kale and spinach)
1 small avocado
1oz kerrygold grass fed cheese(if you can handle it with your allergy)
2oz cucumber peeled
1oz EVOO
2oz Red wine vinagar

or

4-6 smoked salmon
1-2oz full fat cream cheese
1 avocado

Dinner-
4-6oz of red meat preferabbly grass fed beef or salmon
1 cup of green veggies

or

4-6 egg yolks
2-4 strips of uncured bacon

well thispart is kind of true. I know net is not gonna give it up but for most people its true.

Only fat arse losers drink beer.

this was a dick comment but to be fair it was a reaction to a previous comment.

I guess my point is we should be dicks to somebody that is actually posting what he is doing that might be usefull for others.

This thread has turned into a huge off topic bullshite fest in the last 2 months so anybody bringing actual diet or fitness information should be looked at as a breath of fresh air. Granted Goldennugget can be pretty douche and he can be a parrott for info by guys that weigh 150lbs soaking wet(lyle mcdonald) but atleast he is talking about stuff that is atleast on topic.

the whole off topic thing is kind of why i don't post or come in here much since i lent. Its a waste of time most of the time and its just smalll chit chat.

guess my point is he isnt being anymore of a douche than anybody else that has been using this thread to hit on woman or get advice on woman or any of the other BS people have been talking about in here.

Thanks for all the great advice. I went to Sam's to buy the smoked salmon and avocados and some grassfed beef. I also bought the cheese, we shall see how I tolerate it. Also bought some macadamia nuts...I will try to write down exactly what and how much I eat, and to drink enough water.
My husband says I need to adjust my expectations as to what my body will look like as I age, but I feel that I do not have to agree to getting heavier if I can adjust my behaviors. It just seems like this 5 lbs I have gained in a year is a slippery slope to somewhere I don't want to go.
