He did call you skinny(fat). That's practically a compliment in a weight loss thread.

I plan on staying fat and drinking beer.

Funny how you guys are in a diet thread yet talk about drinking beer. Beer makes you a fat arse. Only fat arse losers drink beer.
Well... That's not true.

Hi, i am a woman mid fifties, need to lose around 5 lbs. recently i have been trying to eat low carb/ keto but I find the keto cookbooks to be too complicated for everyday life and I also cook carbs for my family. I lost exactly 1/2 Lb in a week and a half.I think I might be eating too much protein. Any easy ways to add fat to meals to balance things out.? am allergic to whey protein so I need to limit cheese. I know other people are not making these complicated sauces...
iI do feel better and more energetic so it is an overall positive.

Are you tracking what you eat?
How many calories a day are you eating?
Any exercise? If so what and how long
Give example of your regular daily meals.

Welcome! I tend to keep things very simple. Seasoned meat and veggies with butter are my go-to foods when I'm on track with keto. I also eat a lot of macadamia nuts as snacks. They are an easy way to get a lot of fat with few carbs/protein. 1/4 cup of nuts has 21g of fat. Added bonus is that they're delicious & very satisfying. I know some people also make bulletproof coffee with coconut oil & butter, but I haven't tried that (mostly because I drink coffee at work instead of brewing at home).
Are you tracking your macros? What are your calorie/fat/protein/carb goals for a typical day?

So for the second time in less than a week I have to go replace everything in my fridge because of the stupid electric company.
But the good news is we only went without power for 13 hours this time.
So hope I just don't binge eat, since I am so freaking tired since could not sleep last night.

Dam that sucks about the fridge. Im pretty much at a point to where i eat what i want on weekends and stick to my strict diet mon-friday. I have been holding steady at my weight so thats all i can ask.

I do not write down what I eat so tracking my macros seems intimidating. Is there a good app? Most days i have a tbsp of coffee booster-a shortcut to bullet proof coffee in my coffee. A few days a week I skip breakfast. I do use truvia but do not drink diet soda.On the other days i have a shake with egg white protein powder, spinach, almond milk and some almond butter or two eggs scrambled with a slice of bacon and leftover veggies. I may use fat to scramble them. I eat leftover meat and veggies for lunch unless i am on the road when I eat a low carb bar or some homemade chicken salad. I usually eat a handful of nuts in the afternoon. I eat grilled meat and vegetables for dinner- mostly zucchini, broccoli, spinach or green beans. If I am prepping I make sugar free coconut milk custards for dessert but mostly I am too disorganized. I guess I probably get too many calories. When I used ketostix my results are trace to small.
Exercise-weights 2-3 days a week. Walk-run 2-3 miles 4 days a week. Occasional spin class or bike ride.
I get discouraged when nothing happens and then I drink wine and eat candy, this is after a week of no results, but I know it doesn't help. Trying to be completely honest here.
