So yeah I rode the stationary for about 35 minutes yesterday....my quads want to kill me and whomever invented that damn thing. But my calves and Achilles wants to thank them.

Hard for me to walk because of the leg workout that took place Monday.

I have a tennis match tonight...It won't be pretty.

I don;t know how a stationary compares to a real bike...but keep at it and your legs gonna get strong AF! When I got back riding it hurt like hell for awhile...now I can take hills that used to kill me like they nothing... and that's in my massive fixed gear cruiser. We usually ride 4-6 miles on weekdays, and over the course of a weekend day will hit 12-15 miles.

Good luck! I had practice Monday & a match yesterday. I lost, but it was the best I've played yet. Our opponents have played for years and keep appealing to stay at the beginner rating It was fun to play a team significantly better; forced us to play up.

Yesterday on the stationary I went little over 5 miles in 35 minutes. I do not know if that is good or bad, do not care as it hurt like hell.

But I would at the 6 minute intervals go to race position for a minute. The first time I did it I went for 4 minutes, each time I did that I got the rpm up to about 100.

Idk.. we have odd units of measure bc of what we do. Like for us getting from home to downtown in 30 minutes means we were killing it haha

Apparently we are playing the best team in our league tonight. I will probably won't get close to winning a single game.

Getting a stationary for the living room in my new apartment in June. That and a treadmill. No sitting on the couch/laying in bed while watching TV or playing xbox.

Sounds like something from a Seinfeld episode.

It felt that way! My partner had an Elaine-like reaction to it, and kept making comments under her breath between points. This chick was so smug about her ability to win big at this level. Like, okay, lady. Such a feat, beating a bunch of legit beginners. Lol.

Awesome! I'm addicted, and wish I would have started sooner. I play 2-3 days/week between lessons, league matches, and random round robin type events. I wish I could play even more.

My boyfriend is a 4.5. It's fun to watch that level, but I will spend my life happily coasting as an eventual 3.0 :)

The lady who beat my arse last night was in her 60s it was kind of inspiring. I want to be like that in 30 years.

I'd beat her 60 year old arse. Not even kidding.

I've played mixed doubles with my mil at PAC. We played a couple in the Fall. The wife's name was Elaine. I normally just serve easy to women, but I saw the way the guy was serving to my mil, and I was like "frick that!"

These people had never met me before. The first serve to Elaine hit her in the tit. I think I laughed out loud.

If I had any ability to whip her arse on the court, I would have. All I can do is use it as motivation to keep practicing.
